Reno 911

Sorry for the delay. I have searched thru the house from a to z and I can not for the life of me find my recipe. Tho I did see something that eerily looked like Jimmy Hoffa. Everyone in this town has a recipe for BBQ sauce. Let me get up with a Buddy of mine and I will blog you one I think you will really enjoy.

Big Ray wrote: "Oakley and Sweeting were acquitted of the charges in June 2000. No other suspects have ever been arrested for the crime."

You've convinced me...those two brothas done killed themselves...it was a suicide no doubt...and RayRay was no where near the scene of the crime...in fact he was attending church at the time. And his money had nothin' to do with witnesses changin' those stories. ROTFLMAO. Go RayRay, hope you go to another pro-bowl. I am quite sure that the families of Oakley and Sweeting will be cheering for you along with Big Ray.

Hey, Big Ray, did the Cowboys release Michael Irving when he was convicted of cocaine possession, beating a teammate, marijuana possession, etc. Nope, he's in the HOF. You've convinced me, absolutely no double standard.

SEMINOLE WARRIOR-thanks my fried. We can't judge the secondary or any other part of the DEF, nor anyone on it until Smitty gets the type of players he needs to make his scheme work. It's obvious LB's KBrooking and MBoley, SS LMalloy and DT GJackson weren't good fits. Smitty seems to want his DEF to be comprised of quick, aggressive, versatile, attacking DT's, safeties and LB's. That certainly wasn't possible with a lot of the DEF personnel we had last yr.

There's no way we'll be as vulnerable to the pass and the run as we were last yr. A decent rushing DEF and a pass rush will make our secondary better, no matter who our starting SS and CB's are. With the additions we'll have this yr, it's not a matter of if our DEF will be improved, but how much of an improvement will it be.

With all of the issues we had to overcome starting out last yr, we managed to finish 2nd in the entire NFL in rushing OFF and 14th in passing OFF. With the addition of TE TGonzalez our passing OFF should move well into the top 10 and make our overall OFF much more balanced.

Look, if our DEF goes through the same type of transformation our OFF went through last yr, which the additional talent could make happen, we could be looking at another trip to the Superbowl, but with different results than before. Our current OFF is almost a replica of the DIRTY BIRD OFF. In QB MRyan, we have the same accurate quick hitting passer we had in CChandler. In RB MTurner, we have the same big, strong, fast dominant type of runner we had in JAnderson. We have the same type of quick fast WR's, only bigger. Our OL in stronger and more talented and experienced than the OL of the DIRTY BIRDS OFF. The thing that separates our current OFF from the DIRTY BIRDS OFF is TE TGonzalez. He makes the biggest difference over the DIRTY BIRDS OFF which featured TE Santiago, who was an excellent blocker but barely adequate as a receiver.

Sounds good Lil'Dave. Never want to pass on watching the greatest Falcon player in history. Watch, he's going to turn that team around. His leadership will turn Romo into a desent QB finaly!

Along with our occasional inclusion of tailgating recipes, got:
1)JJ's Easy Croc Tenderloin
2)D3's BBQ Stuffed Potato Skins (The Neelys - FoodNetwork)
3)Unca' Bobs Tailgate Chili
4)Lil' Dave's Tender Sauce

If we need a new topic to drive the conversation, I say we run with Marko's suggestion of predicting Offensive and Defensive Rookie of the Year Awards, especially since we're not far removed from The Draft. Also, if you desire nomiate which Falcon will be Rookie of the Falcons Team.

I'll follow Marko's lead with my own post after some research.
Thoughts............?

Afternoon Bird-Cage Brethren! Many people would think posts and involvement would screech to a halt when the draft is over, but as of a couple minutes ago this blog topic that was posted yesterday has rocked out to a 3rd page, which is pretty D@--- good IMO during a "dry-spell." As mentioned last night, ANY and ALL ideas are welcome from the Bird-Cage brethren on some topics to keep the Football mojo rollin'. Great to see some new fellas joining the 'Cage. Glad to have you on talkin' some good football.

JJ- Great Idea you rocked out with the recipe idea. One of my favorite things is to try new recipes on the grill, poppin' some cold ones.

Seminole - you know you already had deep respect from me as a person, but I truly thank you and your family for your service to our country. You guys are the true heroes of our country. Ken Strick, Stirg, and any other veterans I may have missed, I truly am grateful for your commitment, honor, and service. That was a cool TG story with your boy. Fate would have him coming to the ATL for you and your family.

Marko - great idea on predicting Rookie of the Year awards. Lets take it and run with it since our post-draft buzz is seems to be fading a little until training camp.

8 DAYS AND COUNTING TO MINI-CAMP!!!!!
