Andrea Sneiderman was arrested on murder charges Thursday in Putnam County.

DeKalb County District Attorney Robert James has scheduled a 1 p.m. press conference to discuss the arrest of Andrea Sneiderman in the death of her husband, Rusty Sneiderman.

1:08 p.m. — The case will not be tried in the media, says James, adding he will not answer questions pertaining to evidence.

1:10 p.m. — Arrest the result of several months of work, says James.

1:12 p.m. — Grand jury took about an hour to return a “true bill” Thursday morning, says James.

4:22 p.m. Channel 2 Action news reports that DeKalb County Schools said there was a fight at approximately 3:30 p.m. after school. A school resource officer went over to intervene and a nonstudent pointed a gun. At that time the school resource officer fired his weapon. The nonstudent was hit and taken to the hospital. DeKalb police will be investigating this incident.
