If Wren was able to land Justin Upton or Michael Bourn I believe that would put us right there with the Nationals. One of them would put us over the top.

Prince Fielder didn’t sign until late Jan last year and he did just fine contract-wise. Bourn will make his money. Boras doubters are always wrong. Texas and Seattle are getting desperate.
I wonder what Braves offered him at the end of the season? I would assume something similar to what we offered Upton.

I’d rather trade prospects for Justin Upton and his 3 years of control at a Current Shane Victorino cost, Let Bourn sign with another team and we get a draft pick. But if Bourn were willing to take a 1 year deal I’d favor him and keeping the youngins. I’d still offer a 4 year 48 million deal as well.

Also, look back on an earlier page (12?) where I posted his stats taking out LA and AT&T, two hard parks to hit in where he (obviously) struggled…. he’s average at Coor’s, not a monster like some would probably expect. Also, given that he’d spent most of his time on the East Coast, travel wouldn’t affect him as greatly as it does with him playing in AZ. His numbers in all of the east parks except Washington are very good too.
Hope we can get him.

McCann had a torn labrum. Physically, it is difficult to add strength to an unstable shoulder. Just had the same surgery he had last month. Difficult to deal with before surgery, let alone play professional baseball at a high level. Expect him to be better once he’s truly healthy. It’ll be a couple months into the season before he’s even near full strength. Just cause he’s playing (if he is before that) doesn’t mean he’s 100% where he was before the injury.-random

Game stories, features and articles and player profiles will move from the blogs into our sports news pages. The blog will focus on the issues you and others are talking about, with opinion and analysis front and center.

I was extremely happy when I read DOB’s post about the new registration process, now, with his blog.
But, unfortunately, that happiness, quickly, turned to sadness when the registration form, repeatedly, wouldn’t accept my display name.
So, unless that changes, it was a, mostly, fun 5 years or so.

I’m not able to get in on the new format because it’s rejecting my password. I can’t ask for a new one due to my e-mail being corrupted. This may be my swan song here unless I can figure out how to open the new format. Pretty electronically disadvantaged.

I did what you said and changed the password, but to activate the account I have to access my e-mail, and it is corrupted, so I can’t get in. Until and unless I can get my daughter to set up a new e-mail, I’m out i guess. Thanx for the info though, It did register at the AJC web-site. I’ll keep the info and alter it again if I every get a working e-mail.
