Braves Country Caravan set for Jan. 22-Feb. 2
Braves players and team officials will meet and greet fans and sign autographs when the team’s annual Country Caravan rolls through five states and covers about 3,000 miles from Jan. 22 through Feb. 2.
Manager Fredi Gonzalez and Braves coaches, broadcasters and front-office officials will join players at various stops on the tour, which features free autograph sessions at Academy Sports + Outdoor stores and Taco Mac restaurants, along with community appearances at schools and hospitals.
Details including specific players and other participants and community appearances were still being finalized, and the Braves said those would be announced later. Here’s the itinerary for autograph signings:
Jan. 22 – Cumming, Ga., Taco Mac (12:30-2:30 p.m.) and Academy Sports + Outdoors (3:30-5 p.m.)
Jan. 23 – Atlanta, AT&T store, location and times TBA
Jan. 24 – Columbia, S.C., Academy Sports + Outdoors (730 Fashion Drive), 3:30-5 p.m.
Jan. 25 – Snellville, Ga., Academy Sports + Outdoors, 3:30-5 p.m.
Jan. 26 – Montgomery, Ala., Academy Sports + Outdoors (8610 Eastchase Parkway), 12-1:30 p.m.
Jan. 26 – Auburn, Ala., Academy Sports + Outdoors, 3-4:30 p.m.
Jan. 27 – Nashville, Tenn., Academy Sports + Outdoors (355 Old Pleasant Grove Road), 3:30-5 p.m.
Jan. 28 – Dalton, Ga., Academy Sports + Outdoors, 3:30-5 p.m.
Jan. 29 – Greenville, S.C., Academy Sports + Outdoors (201 Rolling Hills Circle, Easley), 4-5:30 p.m.
Jan. 30 – Charlotte, N.C., Taco Mac (4625 Piedmont Row Drive), 12:30-2:30 p.m.
Jan. 30 – Rock Hill, S.C., Academy Sports + Outdoors, 3:30-5 p.m.

I hope Frank and Fredi join the caravan in Snellville. These guys do not get the credit they deserve and get too much flak. I want to personally thank them for the work they do to make the Braves a very good team. Tied for the 4th best regular season record in MLB in 2012 is not too shabby.

are yall serious about camping out the night before? i went to snellville last year, but it was INSANE. i left after a half hour because there was no chance of getting through the line. the line length is directly proportional to who is there. if jay, bmac and FF are there, the line will be a lot longer than the line to meet jordan shafer, reed johnson and fredi. i like getting autographs………..but not as much as i like sleeping in my warm bed with my cold wife. hahaha. thank goodness she will never read this. go bravos.
