Even if Gattis does make it and I hope he does – its still a sorry azz cheap way to run a MLB sports team.
We might even win in spite of LM, but the window of opportunity will close in their face before long.
Cheap Bastards — no one ever told us payroll was going to be cut but it was.
Fear factor will be next off season when Huddy, Malholm, B-Mac and Prado are gone and they should be cause they all deserve to be paid assuming a good season in 2013.

It hasn’t been cut yet there are still months left to get someone, they were never going to get two free agents anyway. A trade is still possible.

Funny thing about your name. When I was in the fifth grade I was sent to a psychologist for some testing. He asked the old question about the half-glass of water. My Braves are in a pretty good spot, all things considered. Our main advantage is having Medlen, and yes, even Maholm, for a full year. Beachy will be icing on the cake. This is the main thing no one dwells on.
Our bullpen is, if anything, even stronger.
IMHO, all we need is about .775 OPS to even out Chipper’s departure (considering pluses and minuses at other spots) and I think we will get that one way or the other.
So, for a team that just lost a HOFer to retirement and has it’s best starting pitcher on the DL for the first half of the season, that’s not too bad.

we’ll be fine… not as good as the Nats, but good enough for the #1 spot. Hopefully the baseball gods look favorably upon us next year. Solid, but not great rotation. mid-rotation, non-hard throwing guys. 3.5 ERAs from all of them except maybe the 5th starter (Teheran/Delgado). Hopefully the offense is consistent.

I think you put too much stock in those flame throwers. I want a guy who can pitch on the black, move in and out and up and down, keep the hitters off balance. Medlen is a great example of that.

A long and tiring day. I’m pleased to be able to say MERRY CHRISTMAS once again to all Christian believers, and HAPPY HOLIDAYS to all that celebrate a year’s end of festivities.
BRAVES and ROYALS sent my grandson a Christmas card. Didn’t know teams did that sort of thing. That alone made my day.

Gentlemen, the agenda at hand is to formulate the premise of a movie for scriptwriter gary. Mine was from 20 years ago, pretty outdated now. A world develops where genetically-engineered humans gradually control the functions and leadership roles in societies around the world. With superior brains, physical abilities, and organizational foresight, naturally-selected humans are gradually reduced in importance until the genetically superior humans decide naturally selected humans consume too much food, water, and space whereupon a war breaks out between the two. With only partial control of the military and civilian polices forces, they contend for the earth, and known universe of the time. Through sheer numbers true humans gradually contol earth, but in space, the new humans who started as the majority of space dwellers win out.

My neighborhood is Historic. Good way to say it’s old… in more ways than one. We don’t allow playing baseball, unless, the equipment meets strict historical guidelines. H&B or Adirondack wood bats. Wilson or Spaulding gloves. If, you have to nail a cracked bat, it must be with a 2 penny galvanized nail, made in the USA…preferrably, new old stock.(or, call the Architectural Board for period nail stock pulled from period fences with period pliers. Period.)
