I’m laughing at people’s stuff on here, especially today. The frustration is getting to some because no deal has been made during those meetings for us. Same thing every year around here.
Doubt Wren gets a deal struck any time soon, though I could be way off here.

With 2 1/2 months before Spring Training even starts, there is no need to freak out that the Braves didn’t make the signing/trade/offer that some folks demand (whatever that signing/trade/offer would be). They are not going to make a move just to keep the fans from panicking in December.

Does it really make a difference if the Braves are set on Dec 4, Jan 1 Jan 29 or even Feb 1? NO. It only matters that they are ready on opening day, preferably the opening of spring training. But it does not matter if the Braves are set as of this week.

BJ Upton admitted that he was going to Philly before his visit to ATL changed his mind… is it possible that while he was here, smilin’ Frank promised him that the team would do all possible to acquire his brother? So a couple of people have asked if anyone knows what the Royals want for Myers. It’s not hard to find out; all you have to do is read what they have said:
1. They are not “looking” to trade Wil Myers. They prefer not to trade him. However, if the right deal comes along, they would rather trade Myers than any of any of their current major league players. Their great preference is to deal using prospects other than Myers.
2. The right deal would involve an established frontline major league pitcher, preferably one with several years of team control left, and one who is already a legitimate ace or has high potential to become one.

Dee Gordon had a few years in the minors where he hit and got on base… but the guy has a disturbingly low number of XBH at first glance.
No arguing his speed, but I don’t see how he’s an upgrade over any internal candidate. Heyward and Upton will steal plenty of bases. If Wren wants a slap hitter he can go with Constanza.
