Efrim, same here about francisco, gotta have that plate discipline, seemed like at one point, he was getting it, the approach thing, then dygressed, must’ve been hang’n w/ hinske too long.

Easy for you to say. As hard as it would be to find a Gwinnett-shaped bomb, apparently George George has found a Gwinnett-shaped bomb that has a lapse over your house.
I will! Yeah, it sure seems that way, doesn’t it?…
Ah well, time for bed—also, Grandpa is having some surgery on his knee tomorrow morning, so if y’all could say a little prayer, we’d a appreciate it…:) He’s got a torn meniscus…
That bragging about how little interest one has in baseball during the post season once your team has been eliminated is not exactly something an alleged baseball fan should be proud of…
Also, hope the Braves really do take a look at Mejia. The guy can hit, and it still amazing to me how very little he is mentioned in Braves organization.
Just starting a campaign early for Mejia. He should be a Brave, and will keep mentioning it. Well, talk tomorrow, and Peace my friends, and “Go!!!!!Braves!!!!!”
As long as the Yanks and Cards don’t win, I don’t care who gets the WS. I loathe the Tigers less than the Giants, so I guess that’s who I’m hoping will win.
Maybe Bourn at 5/$70MM looks less outrageous as time goes on. If Pagan and Upton and the like are going to get eight figures (and the Braves are willing to go there), then Bourn’s relative value vs relative cost looks worth the extra money.
Bourn at $108M/6 doesn’t look fabulous next to anything. There is absolutely no condition which makes Bourn being the first Braves player ever to be given $100M+ contract look good.
I have been thinking all along that the Braves would spend big on one of the outfielders but not so much on the second one.
All along I have thought they would go cheap on CF.
Maybe, if Gattis has their attention, they will go cheap in LF (Greg Dobbs, Reed Johnson, Martin Prado and Juan Francisco is a 4 way platoon in LF/3B) and send some money on Bourn in CF.
Should be an interesting game of chess.
Especially when so many teams have similar needs and $$$$ to spend!
Maybe Bourn at 5/$70MM looks less outrageous as time goes on.
I just can’t imagine him signing for that “little”.
Five years, $75 million is the floor and I think he’ll get more than that. Crazy money out there this winter. Near every team with lots to spend and enough teams with a need in CF – Nationals, Giants, Phillies, Rangers, White Sox…
