Like always jeffery misread and misinterpeted my post. I was not and will not blow anything up. The point I was makeing was bloggers and McFan would be VERY UPSET and would blow up th blog with thier posts if BRAVES did not pick up BRIAN’S option, the fans would be VERY UPSET to lose both CHIPPER and BRIAN in same season.

FOWLER maybe, but that leaves us with having PRADO lead off if we don’t secure a LF who can. PRADO is much better suited to being a second hitter. He’s one of the best in that role I’ve seen in a long time.

Have not been impressed with Georgia all year.
Nonetheless, they get a chance to put it all on the line next week in Jacksonville and if they pull off the upset, they will waltz to Atlanta – where they will get blasted by BAMA.
I suspect Florida puts UGA out of its misery next week. It could get ugly.
A questionable running into the kicker penalty saved UGA in Lexington tonight. The same KY team who just one week ago, stopped a game early due to weather, and oh yeah, “hungry” players.

Yeah, Dacula’s not really mean, we didn’t even pay attention to them when I was in high school. The real meanies are Parkview and Brookwood.
Where did they hold your reunion? We had our 10 last year, didn’t go. From the pictures I saw, there were only 20 people there.

It was at one of the suites in the Gwinnett stadium. They flashed our logo on the big screen. There were plaques in the suite that commemorated special players. There was one plaque….I don’t remember what but it was something along the lines of “Grittiest” ….Constanza won it last year

Sounds fun! Ours was poorly planned and they ended up having it at a bar downtown. I always envisioned reunions being more intimate venue wise. Was kinda disappointed.

My granddad pitched 8 seasons for the Boston Red Sox during the 50’s and although he did end up with a career losing record he did beat the Yanks six straight times. He knew more about baseball than anyone I know.

My Grandfather played SS for a mill team in Jefferson, GA throughout the 20’s. Those teams were semi-pro teams, the players were recruited, given a job at the mill and a house for their family. It was a good living and the teams were very good, many guys went on to play in the minors and majors.
And, BTW, he was in WW1 and my Dad (who passed away 10 years ago today) was in WW2. I would have gone to Nam, but I was 4F…poor vision.
