I tried to be falsely optimistic…..

See why I prefer not to be about our teams?

Now staring 0-9 in elimination games squarely in the face.

It’s truly remarkable. No other team has ever come close, I suspect.

We should have seen it from Chipper’s interview earlier. Looks like a man that has already done everything he wants to do and is completely ready to “get this thing over with”.

2-0 lead at home with a pitcher who hasn’t lost in two-and-a-half years. You just knew the Braves would still find a way to blow it, didn’t you?

I don’t believe in curses. But Turner Field is cursed.

First…to count_schemula …. no a newb

Second…kerryb … I have watched almost every Brave game this year and I’ve been a Braves fan for about 40 years.

I heartily REFUSE to use this blog as a place to moan and belittle MY team during a time they are fighting to remain in the playoffs.

I have been too and was there the night they won the WS so I can say what I want. I’m sick of seeing a team that can’t hit a basketball year in and year out and watching other teams knock the cover off the ball.

When the Braves lose, and they will lose, I will post a big, fat “I told you so” to all the Braves fans here who are delusional to believe this team will ever contend for anything more than a winning season given the current ownership of this team, a group with no interest in bringing this city another world series title and ONLY about making a buck.

BravesfaninWis

October 5th, 2012
6:55 pm

Well it looks like the Braves are back to being the Braves. Medlen is pitching probably his worst ball all season in the most important game of the season. Chippers last game in his career, and that error could be the difference in the game.

I have said all along that the Braves are the kings of choking, and it looks like they are on their way of proving me right. I hope like hell they win, but won’t bet on it. A shame that they are blowing it like this in front of their home crowd. Way to send them home pissed off boys.

This team will always be what they are. A decent regular season team but unless it is a strike shortened year they are at best going to get to the playoffs and piss themselves. They just don’t have what it takes. If you can’t win 3 or 4 World Series with that team in the 90’s then this garbage they call a team now isn’t going to do anything.
