We should have seen it from Chipper’s interview earlier. Looks like a man that has already done everything he wants to do and is completely ready to “get this thing over with”.
geno…. find a sport you have a clue about. Obviously you know nothing about baseball. Two outs and no on on base and you DON”T pitch to this guy? What universe do you come from?
joe – 2001? More like 1991 minus the 1995 season (thanks to David Justice). Speaking of Justice, not one player has the heart or attitude that guy had when here.
I have been too and was there the night they won the WS so I can say what I want. I’m sick of seeing a team that can’t hit a basketball year in and year out and watching other teams knock the cover off the ball.
SMH – You people are completely bi-polar. How many late game wins have we pulled off? You guys know not to pop off at the mouth until the last out is caught.
At least now it will be easier to switch on over to the Oakland A’s. Already about halfway there anyway. Would not be surprised but what they knock the Yankees out and take it all this year.
Braves had won 23 straight games that Medlen started and y’all start him in a do-or-die game against the World Champs. I’m glad apparently nobody in Atlanta knows how momentum and streaks work in baseball. Thanks for making our work lite tonight. Bye, bye Larry. See you in the deer woods. LOL
I predicted a couple of days ago that the ATL Braves would lose their wild card playoff game to the St Louis Cardinals because of their mostly miserable history in the post season. When the Braves lose, and they will lose, I will post a big, fat “I told you so” to all the Braves fans here who are delusional to believe this team will ever contend for anything more than a winning season given the current ownership of this team, a group with no interest in bringing this city another world series title and ONLY about making a buck.

When that ball does not go out…….I guess it is just not the Braves day so far. Looking for the luck to change soon….real soon. Chipper is going to have a bad taste in his mouth for a long time if this game ends like this…..big error and 0 for………
This is why when I thought of this game I was nervous. Weird things happen in one game where teams are mostly tight and aggressive. Just didn’t think Chipper would’ve been one of them.
Well it looks like the Braves are back to being the Braves. Medlen is pitching probably his worst ball all season in the most important game of the season. Chippers last game in his career, and that error could be the difference in the game.
I have said all along that the Braves are the kings of choking, and it looks like they are on their way of proving me right. I hope like hell they win, but won’t bet on it. A shame that they are blowing it like this in front of their home crowd. Way to send them home pissed off boys.
DwayneC, let me make it official that as of right now (before the outcome is known in this game) you can take your “I told you so,” and shove it where the sun doesn’t shine!
This team will always be what they are. A decent regular season team but unless it is a strike shortened year they are at best going to get to the playoffs and piss themselves. They just don’t have what it takes. If you can’t win 3 or 4 World Series with that team in the 90’s then this garbage they call a team now isn’t going to do anything.

I tried to be falsely optimistic…..
See why I prefer not to be about our teams?
Now staring 0-9 in elimination games squarely in the face.
It’s truly remarkable. No other team has ever come close, I suspect.
