For what it’s worth: Medlen (with 2-0 lead) has allowed more than 2 runs only once all season (3 runs, ND in a 4-3 win over Marlins).
I feel quite good. We scored first, and between us, the team that scores first always won. I believe we’ve lost just 10 times when leading after 3. Keep it up!
That TO looked late. We’ll see it again in highlights, but I saw the pitcher pitched and the batter swung, that’s how late it was. You hardly ever see that.
Remember, folks, pitchers now are taught to excecute the pitch during a called timeout in order to avoid injury. The Cards won’t cry about it; Lohse just followed through instead of suddenly stopping and possibly injuring himself. Headsy gambit by ROSS THE BOSS!!!

Some of you “FG Lovers” are a little pathetic giving him so much credit for starting Ross. That was a no-brainer. He didn’t have much choice really with all things considered. Good grief! If he was such a “managerial wizard” the Braves would have won the title, and not be just playing in the wildcard game.

Yeah. Sitting an all star is a no brainer. That is why you are a dumb asz.
Dum-Bass: It was a no-brainer to some of us (myself included), but quite a few believed that he would go with his “starting” catcher since he is the best option… Basically said that if BMac could get out of bed,he’d start. No reason to believe otherwise.
Dum-bass, you can say it was a no-brainer, but I can almost guarantee you Cox would have played McCann. I think most managers would have. It’s gutsy to go with your backup in a game like this, even if the starter has had a down year.
Carlos Beltran is dialed in at the plate also! One hit and a theft job of a homer by Heyward. Need to keep that in mind as the game progresses. Might have to choose to pitch around him in an RBI situation if necessary.
Jeff Kellogg is giving a pitcher-friendly strike zone. Hope Medlen can get the K with it! But, he’s really struggling with his control now! He might be showing some nerves here!
