If he’d called him out there would have been a riot. Seriously. A riot.
I’m glad Chipper got a “hit” – especially if this is his last at bat.
The baseball gods would not allow that! Broken bat, wide throw, first baseman could not garner the throw and if there is any justice in the world, it will be scored an infield hit!
Chipper didn’t even run that out. Sad display by him.
Wasn’t running very hard was he?
October 5th, 20128:33 pm
That UMP got on phone, wonder if he called BUD and BUD said “screw the BRAVES”
Expect the protest to be successful, it will be interesting to see who is going to be pitching for the Braves and Cards tomorrow.
Good grief, Chipper atleast hustle it out.
October 5th, 20128:34 pm
only delaying the inevitable
Uggla has to come through here
Dan Uggla to make the last out. Fitting.
Hammer the Homer
Last out heroics comin up !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
great character shown here. freeman had a great day at the plate
Blargh . . .
6 Finger 2 tooth Braves Fan
DELAYING THE INEVITABLE
Come on Uggla! A HR here please!
Chipper was not running..he gave him one.
There’s that lightening Chipper was talking about. Maybe the 2012 Braves aren’t done yet.
Wutehvah, someone’s using my name, so keep those your momma jokes limited.
The A Bomb
And look who’s up.
We need a miracle.
This be why Bravos suck in postseason…who has more hits and more errors???
Bot 9th 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 R H E
St. Louis 0 0 0 3 0 1 2 0 0 6 6 0
Atlanta 0 2 0 0 0 0 1 0 0 3 10 3
Looked like Chipper was out to me. Looked like he got his foot back in before Chipper got there. But we’ll take it.
Ya Joe Simpson, because ruling that a “hit” makes everything ok.
If I ever see you out, I’m dumping your tea in your lap.
Freeman with his fhird hit and fourth time on base. Tying run again at the plate but with two outs. Come on, Braves! Let’s do this!!!!!
LOL NOW they want to give the Bravs a call! 6-3 as i predicted
I hate Uggla
Here we go again! More agonizing heartbreak!
I dropped my fried twinkie
Come on UGGLA do something GOOD
If Uggla strikes out, the crap is really going to hit the field.
Nothing left to cheer for with this team. All they do is fail, they just don’t have the it factor. I’m sick of putting my everything into this team and being on this board what I am not in regular life, just to watch them blow every opportunity they get. It’s no fun supporting a team when you know the outcome before they play their first spring training game.
So truthfully to anyone on here that I offended this year, I apologize. I won’t be back on here, I am done with this team.
Lil' Barry Bailout (Unexpectedly Revised Downward)
Watch Uggla earn his money right damn here.
Everything forgiven for 1 big hit here
I will not spend another dime on major league baseball until they fire the owner-by-proxy commissioner. All of Selig’s tenure has included decisions that are all about the money for the owners including ignoring steroids until his hand was forced. This one game play-in when they didn’t even have a tie is not baseball, it is simply a dice roll. And I have posted this ever since I heard the announcement of this farce so it has nothing to do with the outcome of this particular game.
FIRE BUD SELIG!
October 5th, 20128:35 pm
Freddie and David Ross came to play. The rest are a joke.
No Hope 4 Braves
Why didn’t Chumpper run like hell to first. If the would have been running he woulda passed the bag. What a joke.
Chuck from Waycross
how about htis scenario…braves win the game, win the protest, lose tomorrow…
Wasn’t Chipper dogging it to first? I think he’s angry with Brave fans.
CJ almost blew that big time. He slowed up before he got to first, basically giving himself up. He’s played long enough he should know you do not ASSUME an out. You run hard through the bag!
What a crap-fest of a game from Chipper’s, Simmon’s, and other errors to the embarrassing in-field fly rule call.
Could we get a miracle out of Dan?
UGGLA YOU SUCK
Anyone want to guess that a pop up or fly ball is coming?
CARDS SHOULD PROTEST THAT CHIPPER HIT
Earn your money Uggla
October 5th, 20128:36 pm
Swing away dan
Rob In Fayetteville
The last time I checked, the umpire didn’t commit three errors, nor did he strike out in clutch situations, nor did he leave twelve runners on. This one’s all on the Braves, as it has been every postseason they’ve choked in.
Honestly, did anyone here expect differently from this bunch?
I think John Schuerholz should issue another apology to the fans like he did last year. In fact, I think he should apologize for the last umpteen postseasons the Braves have choked in.
Different year, same story. You can change the manager, the cast of characters, and no matter.
Losers as usual.
had to be Uggla didn’t it
ALL OVER BRAVES “FANS” YOU’RE PATHETIC!!
October 5th, 20128:38 pm
And I’m still a Braves fan. If the protest is not upheld – see the rest of you next season.
MAH SISTAH’S GONNA GIT A GUD SCHTUPPIN TNITE!!
IS CHIPPER GOING 2 CRY BOO HOO BOO HOO LOL HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
I HATE YOU DAN UGGLA. YOU SUCK. WEAK GROUND BALL TO 2ND.
same old chockers
Different year, same choke. Atlanta loser city.
ugly ugly game
Well, that’s that.
Well, Uggla recorded the last out of this game. And now we find out if either Joe Garragiola or Joe Torre have the courage to uphold Fredi Gonzalez’s protest. Frankly, on strict application of the rule, there is certain merit to upholding the protest. But, I doubt that will happen.
Umpires just put themselves in the history books with a bone-headed call to rival all postseason bone-headed calls.
NS…Fredi just tipped his cap to the Cards.
That’s one way to keep the other team from celebrating on our field.
how unexpected … the horrible hitting DOES carry over
1-8 RISP .. 10 men left on base. Umps didn’t help but the Braves eliminated themselves in this game, plain and simple
That’s all folks. We will miss you Chipper.
39 more million dollas for that from UGGLa.
I was right about Chipper having a weak groundout in his last at bat. The umps just decided to give it to him.
Why the hell are they cheering for Chipper? Dude gave 0 effort tonight, as evidenced by that last AB.
I’m officially retired as a Braves fan.
I’m effing done w/ watching the playoffs. After that ridiculous sh**fest, why should I watch?
Pending the protest?
It was easy for the Cardinals, they had Roadfield advantage…
The Atlanta Braves, perfecting the art of choking since 1996.
Unearned runs hurt us tonight, but boy that sh***y call by the umps ruined the rally.
told you so.
What happens now?
October 5th, 20128:39 pm
Well…at least Choke Jones stepped on homeplate for the last time
English Speaking White Guy
Time for Joe Simpson to take his “talents” elsewhere. Maybe Homer will give him a job.
Once again umpires determine outcome of the game
12 hits.. 3 runs. Not surprising one bit.
Freeman was clutch until the end. This loss is on Freddie G, the UMP, and Uggla.
Did not deserve to win this game. Terrible RISP hitting. 3 errors…when is that ever going to be a recipe to win the game?
Bad IF fly rule or not..
Damn player of the game should be Chipper. Throw the ball into RF… Didn’t recover…
Oh we’ll. Go Dawgs!!!
LOSER TRASH THROWIN FANS
Trey, I think someone stole your name…
the other shoe drops tomorrow…USCE 37 uga 24…
Go work for the Cards, you holier-than-thou smug a**hole
Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaah! If not for the THREE ERRORS by the Braves, the umps wouldn’t have had the chance to affect the game.
12 runners LOB. Only the Braves will do that. Chokers. Thank God I don’t have to watch these losers again.
October 5th, 20128:40 pm
I sure hope they don’t charge all the Brave fans with a crime and or ban them
Screw you Joe Simpson. “Braves fans embarrassed themselves” The umps embarrassed themselves retard
Chipper’s legacy:Last 4 seasons, Part time Chipper reflects Team’s part time effort.
Braves fan..why Freddie?
Cards better stay in their hotel tonight. No going to the airport.
I AM NOW OFFICIALLY A PHILLIES FAN AND A PROUD PHILLIES FAN GO PHILLIES
I am disappointed.
October 5th, 20128:41 pm
Why does he keep putting the braves fans down? they had a right to be angry. He should be reporting on the poor umpiring not commenting on the fans.
Holliday is a pretty classy dude. Could have tried to make it seem like they heard the ump, but didn’t.
I think Wren will be done with Bourn and Uggla. Gotta get a real leader in here.
We talk baseball, other sports, music, movies, BBQ and whatever (except politics or religion)
