Nothing left to cheer for with this team. All they do is fail, they just don’t have the it factor. I’m sick of putting my everything into this team and being on this board what I am not in regular life, just to watch them blow every opportunity they get. It’s no fun supporting a team when you know the outcome before they play their first spring training game.

I will not spend another dime on major league baseball until they fire the owner-by-proxy commissioner. All of Selig’s tenure has included decisions that are all about the money for the owners including ignoring steroids until his hand was forced. This one game play-in when they didn’t even have a tie is not baseball, it is simply a dice roll. And I have posted this ever since I heard the announcement of this farce so it has nothing to do with the outcome of this particular game.

The last time I checked, the umpire didn’t commit three errors, nor did he strike out in clutch situations, nor did he leave twelve runners on. This one’s all on the Braves, as it has been every postseason they’ve choked in.
Honestly, did anyone here expect differently from this bunch?
I think John Schuerholz should issue another apology to the fans like he did last year. In fact, I think he should apologize for the last umpteen postseasons the Braves have choked in.
Different year, same story. You can change the manager, the cast of characters, and no matter.

Well, Uggla recorded the last out of this game. And now we find out if either Joe Garragiola or Joe Torre have the courage to uphold Fredi Gonzalez’s protest. Frankly, on strict application of the rule, there is certain merit to upholding the protest. But, I doubt that will happen.
Umpires just put themselves in the history books with a bone-headed call to rival all postseason bone-headed calls.
