WAAAAAAAAAAA WE LOSE AGIN WAAAAAAAAAAA
Fans reaction was not because of disappointing play but because dispite of poor play, questionable calls, etc, they were coming back!
This blog is an embarrassment to the AJC. No, wait, I am. And to myself and to humanity.

Time for Chipper to be a hero this time up!
“ATL “FANS” SHOWING DERE TRU COLORS!”
No you clown butt.
This is the embarrassing side of the ATL:
As it’s being explained, neither criteria for the IF rule was met. If there’s any integrity in the MLB offices, the challenge will be upheld.
FANS SHOULD THROW MORE CRAP ON THE FIELD!!!!!!! WORST CALL IN THE HISTORY OF BASEBALL.
Bourn will not end up with Nats because they dont need him.Lets get the Upton brothers.Have a great off season cant wait for winter meetings . Hope we can trade Uggla and McCann.
0-9 now in elimination games at the Ted. They need to bulldoze that place.
The Braves are playing this game under protest, huh?
Funny….. I’ve been cheering for them under protest for almost 2 decades.
How long does the league have to make a decision on a protested game???
MLB and its umps are an absolute joke. All the other umps know it was the wrong call, and not one of them had the balls to fix it.
Wild Card has right name..wild!
In my opinion Bourn just cost himself 5-6 millionper year with that last at bat. But on second thought, you know someone will still overpay for him.
No Hope 4 Braves
“The stage is set?” For what, our Braves to go home? Between Chumpper and the umps it was a lost cause. Of course Bourne was no help at all. Hope I don’t have to look at him or fg next year.
Hammer the Homer
need 4 big time runs to run the Cards outta here and that cheatin officiating crew…………….
here is hoping 4 a 1=2=3 inning
Well, our Conrad show doesn’t help either!
DATS IT! AHM DUN WIT DIS TEAM. DEY SUCK! IMA B A NATS FAN!

I wonder if MLB has the balls to uphold the rules…. immediately is not when the ball is on the ground already….I do not think they will but it should be.

You know what KerryB…I think I’m there with you.
I followed right along with this team all of those years and Chipper is the last of it. A good time to be done with it.
I would love to know what Ross said to the ump after that last strikeout. A question perhaps for our esteemed blogmeister to ask?
Baltimore has a manager. We dont.
Jasons Shrinking Waist
This team hasnt hit since all star break, why shold it be any different tonite
You don’t call an “INFIELD FLY RULE” out on a ball 220 feet from “HOME PLATE” that hits the ground with no player “WITHIN 20 FEET OF IT”!
“Fans reaction was not because of disappointing play but because dispite of poor play, questionable calls, etc, they were coming back!”
Exactly. Not just a bad call, it was the ball game.
A call like that ended the NFL Ump strike in 48 hours.
English Speaking White Guy
Joe Simpson is a pimp for MLB. He keeps apologizing about the fans. What he should be doing is worrying about an apology from the umps.

I want chipper to hit a homer in this inning but I’m pretty sure we’ll get a weak groundout to end his career.
Now, I don’t think we should be too hard on Chipper here, it’s what you do during the season that is most important. Right??
Braves choke yet again in the postseason!!
Was that ump that made The Call the shallow outfield ump or the deep infield ump? Was he the same ump that called Gant out after he got dragged off first? Or perhaps channelling E Gregg to spoil our sporting chance in this game?
And big Wally…really? There is never, ever a reason for fans to act like that. Anywhere. Any game. Any city. Nothing can excuse that behavior.
The way a protest works is MLB officials review the protest and the rule application being protested. In this case, I am certain that Fredi’s protest is that neither the third base nor left field umpires made the call until after the ball landed in the outfield grass. The point of the rule is to benefit the base runners and by the call being made that late, it hurt the offensive team (which is the opposite of the rule’s intention). The base runners were halfway and able to either advance on a blown catch (which is what they did) or return to their bases.
If MLB officials uphold the protest, then likely tomorrow the game is resumed with one out and Simmons on first with bases loaded.
Chuck from Waycross
the reds would take Bourne right now…
its past my bedtime darn
The Cardinals can not leave town tonight.
Thank goodness that Chipper was here to heroically man 3rd base tonight.
I hope to god Bourn ends up on the Nationals. That means for 4 months out of the season they will have a black hole at the top of their lineup. Might be the only way we beat them.
I have ZERO desire for Wren to sign Bourn. Especially at what he’s going to cost.
Long suffering Bravo Fan
PROTEST DIS, FREDDI
Lil' Barry Bailout (Unexpectedly Revised Downward)
The Cards deserve to win. They have better pitching overall and big-boy major league type hitters, which Frank Wren can’t find.
The A Bomb
Boy if you make plays good things happen.
Prado has sucked all day. Way to go Martin.
It's over now
If the Braves do not come back, it could get even uglier.
Thank God for the NFL and College football…MLB just went the way of the Dinosaur and my opponent.
Dont let that bad call disguise the fact that the braves choked in the field and the plate since ross homered in the third.
They dont deserve it, nuff said
Bottles will be flying after out #3.. UGH
October 5th, 20128:29 pm
hahahaha the VPs to rule on the protest are former Cardinals, and Torre was unceremoniously canned by Ted Turner.
braves fans blow!!!!!!!!
Here we go. Chipper making the last out.
Infield fly. Infield fly
And there goes someone using my name and padding my stats.
yes, we got screwed by the call, however, the 3 errors lost us the game.
the Braves are cursed, pure and simple.
We are the Buffalo Bills of MLB
Only other call that was as bad as this was Minnesotal first baseman physically pulling Ron Gan on off first base in 1991 WS, tagging him, and Gant being called out. Left field umpires has NO BUSINESS calling infield fly. Hear that Joe Simpson!
GOOD NIGHT BRAVES YOU SUCK!
Bud Selig in today’s NY Times on starting the Wild Card play-in games this year:
“I know the schedule was made out, and I know it’s going to be better in ’13. But I’m so grateful I did it. All the clubs wanted it, and I wanted it.”
Yeah it all worked out great, didn’t it Bud!!!!!
162 games and it all comes down to Chipper…
Braves better not be playing this inning like they’re expecting it to be replayed … they might be seriously disappointed by MLB
At least there’s another game tomorrow in this 3 game series. What? There’s not? Are you serious? No way MLB would do something that stupid is there? Bud Selig? Oh, the same one who had the all star fiasco? OK now I understand.
How fitting…Chipper to complete the choke.
Dont choke this time Chipper !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I would throw my fiance if I didn’t have anything else.
Chipper can make the last out. How cruel can baseball be!
October 5th, 20128:30 pm
damn PA guy can’t stop that FFFFn chant. STOP ALREADY, GET A CLUE!!!!!
Wow. How scripted can you get? Chipper last AB this season?
Cardinals will beat the Nationals and go to the NLCS, which will make watching any NL playoff game hard because once again ill be thinking, that should be the Braves!
See what happens when you equipp 40,000 people with little tomohawks and rile’em up with mock war chants? That came close to people getting hurt.
6-3 just as I thought with the goat gettng last at bat!
Story book, Joe? The guy basically singlehandedly screwed this game. Great career, but lets call it like it is, Joe.
Well, this may be the last time we ever see Chipper Jones bat.
Swing and a miss.
So if protest is upheld when would they decide this. Bad call by ump but in the era of hd tv this is on baseball for not implementing some way to protect the umps from themselves like every other league does. Braves gave the cards great help and the umps gave them the extra push to the finish line in this bs wild card game. Why not just give the teams with the best record in each league a weekend bye to the 2nd round. Then the wildcard teams face the other division winners best 2 out of 3. To simple I guess.
We Will Get Fooled Again
I’m so sick of seeing other teams celebrate on our mound. Eff this.
This is a shame that it ends this way. Can’t Selig do something about this?
Does the media get to talk to the umps? Cuz I really want to know why an infield fly was called there.
Here’s the man that ruined the game…
October 5th, 20128:31 pm
CARDS WIN YEAH !!!!!!!!!!! YAAAAAAAAHOO!!!!!! GOODBY CHIPPER YOU CHOKER~~~~~~~~ CARDS WIN CARDS WIN THEEEEEEEEEE CARDS WIN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Trey’s Momma blows too…. 5 dolla
worked out well for the cards…
They said Bourn at .319 was the leading hitter with RISP. So, if I think logically, he will not get a hit .681 of the times. You guys, need to change to another sport. If you are getting a hit 1/3 of the time, you might end up in the HOF but that also means you were unsuccessful .6667 of the times.
Just think that Matt Ryan only completed 1/3 of his passes.
Speaking of MR, go BIRDS, take us to the promise land……..
The Atlanta Braves…coming up small whenever it counts. What an organization.
MLB DOES NOT HAVE THE NARDS TO DO THE RIGHT THING WITH THE WORST CALL IN THE HISTORY OF BASEBALL!!!!!
Didn't Like My Name But I got Through Anyway
Sorry…… I have seen Chipper tip his cap too many times the last few weeks. I didn’t need that one after his performance tonight!
WHERE’S MAH BOX O TISSUES? CMON MA LETS GO MAKE A SISTER!
October 5th, 20128:32 pm
still have a bit of life.
I guess STL gets payback for the terrible call of game 6 in the ‘85 WS against KC
“Thank God for the NFL”
The same NFL with that TD call the other night?
Mercy call there.
“gimme call” on that.
MAKE UP CALL.
Shoulda been a out Chipper !
