Fredi should start the starters tomorrow. Whoever he’s planning on starting for the WC game needs to play tomorrow. No way do you give people three days off as he said. At least some at bats by the regulars need to happen tomorrow. Give em a couple of bats and then take them out. Gotta get the offense going. Bourn is hitting well, so is Prado and Uggla, but everyone else is stumbling and scuffling. Good to see Heyward square a ball up last night though. Uggla should DEFINITELY PLAY unless his thumb is still giving him issues. What is it with the Braves this year and their fingers? Two head first slides and some glass in a cooler.
It would be horrible, I don’t want to ever see us lose, but a tiny part of me wanted the streak to end before the postseason. However, I think Medlen will be fine. Just gotta keep doing what he’s been doing. Hopefully those solid numbers against Lohse continue for the offense because you gotta think with the way the Cardinals have been swinging the bat that they’re going to score at least two runs. I hope Meds shuts them out, but he is hittable, and a little more so lately than he was in the middle of this streak.
He can ill afford to start against the Cardinals the way he started against the Mets. Once the third started, he was sharp, but he’s gotta be that sharp the entire time he’s out there. I’m sure he will be. He’s fearless, ferocious and pitches his BEST against top tier teams. He made the Nats offense, which I think is the bets in the NL, to one run in two starts. He’s a freak, he’ll keep it up.
Get everyone a couple of at bats tomorrow and then yank them. And start Ross in the WC game! Mac is just way to banged up and hardly plays anymore. He’s not getting enough reps to be ready for the postseason. I know he’s our guy, but he has so many injuries that he just can’t function at a high level right now.
If you rest him three days and then play him Friday, he might lay an egg. I don’t know, we need our BEST players out there on Friday.

Rossy has been clutch this year, that homer off Lee. The homer on Sunday. He’s had plenty of moments this year where he’s shined. I can’t think of the last time McCann played well consistently since July. He had an absolutely torrid stretch, but since then that cist and whatever else is going on in that shoulder is just killing him. I almost want to say put Uggla in the three hole given his good work of late, and his good numbers against Lohse. But part of me also says, you gotta dance with the one who got you here. Heyward’s been cold overall though.
I do not envy the job of Fredi right now. I’ll be back at some point.

The Braves are totally hopeless when they get behind 1-0. They quit. They have no fight in them. All season long their come from behind wins were miniscule……………………pathetic.
Come this Friday they better jump out to a 3-0 start or it’s off to the golf course on Sat.

I so want Ross to get the start over Mac but it’s not going to happen. If Mac is 0-2 or 0-3….in a tight game, I’d love to see FG acknowledge that by giving Ross an opportunity. He’s earned it.

I”d really spend my money to watch these guys bat.No Francisco will not make a sarting 3rd baseman.Overbay ,Baker and Constanza dont even think about them next year.Hanson your piece of crap tought you were going to stop them from stealing this year . Hey Pete, are you insane? What about when we were down 9-0 TO WASHINGTON, CAME BACK AND WON! If you think that’s a small margin to come back from then you are… words can’t describe what you are if you truly believe that. Four nothing to Washington as well. 7-1 to the Phillies and came back as well. Need I say more?
Postseason roster is too valuable @Gil. I agree, Hanson should not be out there.

Good morning all
Sad night we just could not push across runs, all season long we wasted good pitching. BUT WAIT the season as a whole was pretty good we stayed in contention down to last three days of season. It was great and sad at the same time to watch CHIPPERS last season. Good to watch MEDLEN and MINOR develop and JASON improve, also FREDDY. Now two days of ST LINEUPS a loss Friday and we can relax and look for even better things next year, with our pitching it could happen.

If JUAN ever exhales, and learns that the same rate of swing can net a HR as well as a single, the young man will becomes a very dangerous person with a bat in his hands.
His extra wiggle when he tries to muscle up takes a fraction of a second, and throws his balance and swing completely off.

What exactly does Karma apply to in this instance? The Cards, apparently, are just trying to sort though the whole concept of celebrating the right to play a game to see if they actually can participate in the playoffs. And this comes from a team that just won the WS. They simply don’t know what’s normal in this situation. When has there been a time when a team celebrated that it might be in the playoffs?..You shake hands on field and maybe bounce up a down like only baseball players can.

Tommy Hanson is going to be a nice addition to some team’s bullpen in the near future. He’d be an excellent “Chard Durbin” for some non contender.
He’s gone from future ace and anchor of the Braves rotation to Kenshin Kawakami really fast.
How has this guy won 13 games this year?
