I see there is a lot of TROUT conversation on this blog… Good Millville, NJ kid . What do some of you feel about him becoming a switch hitter like Chipper?? and with that speed… Goodness!!! I would have gone with Constanza there to pinch hit. to try and get on base with a bunt. Whocares if its lefty pitching. Bottom line is Baker stinks you can have a pitcher who throws with his legs and he still wouldn’t be able to hit. Looks like he will make our post season roster just because he hits right handed. I’m in agreement with those who say we’re in trouble with this anemic offense when it comes to the postseason. Look back at TennPaul’s 4:06 post about recent batting averages and you really do wonder how i the world this team is winning as much as it is. We’re not going to win many 1-0 playoff games. Maybe it is just the Monday thing. If it’s the lefty thing, guess what we’ll see every start beginning with Friday?

the braves are mailing it in tonight. their body language says they don’t care about the division title; and, the pathetic at bats against weak pitching says it all. 2 lousy hits through 8 innings. once again the offense snubs their own pitcher. mccann has been a liability tonight and most of the season. fredi needs to man up, bench brian and start ross.

Nats are just trying their hardest to give the Braves the NL East and their bats are just not up to the task.
Kinda makes you appreciate what the Cards did last year a little. Because even with the Braves losing the way they were, the Cards HAD TO keep winning to make it happen for them.
Nats are playing their worst ball of the year and the Braves just aren’t capable of running the table to take what they all claim they want so badly.
Jeff Locke? really? REALLY? Jeff F’n Locke?
Pray for a shutout from Medlen and company every night in October, because this lineup isn’t hitting ANYBODY that actually knows how to pitch.
Simply amazing the run this team went on in the past 26 games with how pathetic the offense has been.
The pitching staff deserves better.
