One of my favorite things about having kids is sharing movies and music that I grew up with.
It’s pretty crazy isn’t it. I told him the other day that I have a picture of myself on my first day of kindegarten wearing a ghostbusters t-shirt and here he is at almost the same age reciting it word-for-word.
Then there’s my 9 year old. She’s out of control. Her first dog was named Johnny Cash. I took her picture riding the tube behind our party barge this summer and she was standing up on it with her arms in an X-shape above her head. She learned that watching Pink Floyd: The Wall with me a few years back. And just last week, she won the County Fair Queen Pageant…Whe she walked off the stage, I was going in for a hug, but she cut me off with a Dan Uggla elbow smash. I can’t take her anywhere.
I have been opposed the Braves resting their regulars for any length of time once they clinched. Of course, since they are still alive for the division title, that was not going to happen anyway.
Now as far as the possibility of having to play a rain out game on Thursday and a 1 game playoff series on Friday, absolutely put 2nd string and send the regulars back to Atlanta to prepare for the playoff game. That make up game, if it were to happen, would put the Braves at a disadvantage in the wildcard playoff
Uggla’s hand swelled up from the flight, around the staples (which he has instead of stitches, for cut in hand). So they’re giving it a day for swelling to subside, Fredi said.
Coleman – I don’t think the times have been announced yet. I’ve heard that if the Yankees end up in the AL Wild Card game that one would be slated for night putting the NL one earlier in the afternoon.
If the Nats win tonight, on the last day of the year Fredi should start Prado at every position during the game. And let him close it out as the pitcher in the 9th inning.
Now that would be cool. Didn’t somebody from the Twins do something like that back in the 60’s or 70’s?
McCutchen presenting Chipper with one of the commemorative bases that the Pirates will use during the series. Also gave $5,000 to Cystic Fibrosis group in Chipper’s name

Great line from LEE CHILD’s new book REACHER says” the rifle round came in on target from 400 yds out like a curve ball dropping into the strike zone”.
Great job as always. You are a consumate pro. I look forward to you working hard and keeping us informed for the rest of the season. Let’s hope that you don’t get a break until the second week in November.
Uggla cut his hand in an uncalled for, not necessary, premature celebration. How many times have we heard of players getting injured while throwing a tantrum or celebrating? Someone got injured not long ago in the bottom of a pile on the field. Would be a bad omen if there’s infection and he’s lost for the post season, NOW that he has it somewhat together.
Here is something to think about. How cou;d you talk for one minute without usesing the letter A or a word with a in it? This is not a joke it can be done.

DOB says if it’s the Cards, it will be Lohse on Friday. Matheny must be another stubborn, hardhead like FG, if he’s not going with a LH. I know he has GARCIA, and could have set that up. It’s to the Braves advantage though, so maybe he doesn’t read stats much. ATL has scored twice as many runs against RHs this year. As of a couple days ago it was 448 vs righties, and an unbelievable 238 vs lefties. Keep that quiet, maybe the Cards skipper doesn’t know that. Personally, if I were the manager of the team facing the Braves in a one game playoff I would use a young lefthander just up from AAA possibly. One they had not seen before.
