Get to the world series we can sign Greinke and maybe pay Cody Ross for LF. Cody Ross is the really the only lefty masher set to be on the market.

I just watched the first 2 episodes of Boardwalk Empire. I thought they jumped the shark last year by killing off Jimmy
Dude, c’mon… I’m still trying to catch up on season 2.
Guess now I can skip ahead and start watching season 3 since now I know how it ends.

Apparently, today, Fredi said that he’s bringing 3 starters and all the BP guys to the WC play-in. Hopefully Gearrin is that last BP guy over Cmart.
September 27th, 20125:15 pm
scoots Its sounds like an easy thing to get a RH LF who can hit for power… Real RH power is at a premium in the game right now, that’s just a fact of life.
it is easy, if all you care about is being able to hit lefties. apparently, thats the main objective. so, it shouldnt be a problem.
September 27th, 20125:22 pm
where is everybody.

I mean no disrespect to RA or Gio or any pitcher, but I value a pitchers W-L record about as much as Shaun values RBIs. It’s an uncontrollable part of the game. A pitcher could have a 1.00 ERA and lose 20 games as easily as a pitcher can have a 5.00 ERA and win 20 games.
I’m not trying to take away anything from the season RA (.266, over 4 Ks for every walk) and Gio (.284, almost 3 Ks to every walk) are having, both have had a great year. However some people see 20 wins and think that’s Cy Young worthy however I have to disagree. I’m not saying RA or Gio are not worthy of the Cy Young but a W-L record should not be a factor in the voting.
Just my opinion.
theonlybravesfan Cody Ross is the really the only lefty masher set to be on the market.
jonny gomes, ryan ludwick, scott hairston, torii hunter, reed johnson all crush lefties too. and those are just the free agents. theres lots of that out there.
September 27th, 20125:31 pm
DAP – ludwick is no FA. team option of 5 mil, which will surely be exercised.
September 27th, 20125:39 pm
Francona may go to Indians, breaking some hearts here (who will ask for change even if braves win the whole thing this year)
September 27th, 20125:40 pm
Big day today.
We can be anywhere from 3 games back with 6 to play, to 5 games back. If it’s the latter, we can begin easing into “get ready for next Friday mode.” If it’s the former, then we could have a wild week-end in front of us.
September 27th, 20125:42 pm
And if it is 4 games back, then what?
September 27th, 20125:58 pm
Hope Tommy can put in a good outing tonight, 6 IP, 2 ER. I’m thinking he can. However, if necessary, I hope Fredi does have a quick hook tonight.
Uggla and Chipper go deep tonight, we beat up on Turner. Braves win 8-2. Let’s go!
Later folks, y’all take care. Peace.
September 27th, 20126:06 pm
I won’t sneeze at it, but I will spit on that lineup YUCK!!
September 27th, 20126:08 pm
nobody has said anything about wanting a outfielder who can only hit lefties, they just want to be certain that is included. Pretty weak strawman there DAP
September 27th, 20126:11 pm
I don’t think Fredi is going anywhere even if they lose the playin
September 27th, 20126:13 pm
We don’t have a lot options there Kemosabe. I’d rather have a 100% Constanza than a 50% Bourn. Ross instead of Heap….that’s always a plus….this year anyway.
September 27th, 20126:17 pm
I was referring to Miami’s lineup for next year. We end up with that and it will be a miracle if they average 4 runs per game

September 27th, 20126:20 pm
OK, my bad….carry on.
September 27th, 20126:28 pm
Terrible two days at work which left me MIA yesterday from anything on tv or the internet. Good to see we won. And on to tonight…

Hey anyone know of a live stream anywhere online for that C. Jones pre game stuff and is it Friday or Saturday?

R.A. Dickey now the frontrunner for the NL Cy Young Award, IMO. But Gio still to pitch for No. 21, and there will be a Kimbrel faction.
Did anyone see the Graphic that showed the Eye-Popping and Historic Stats that Kimbrel has produced this year? Even before I saw those jaw dropping facts, I thought Kimbrel deserved to win the Cy Young award. But after I saw that, he should be a lock for it.
Sadly, that is not the concensus between the writers. Only Mr. Stark seems to be seeing what everyone one in Braves Nation is. When you do things that have NEVER been done in the history of the game and also are breaking records that have stood up since the 1900’s!!…That is Cy Young worthy and if it isn’t in some people’s minds..just because he is a relief pitcher, then they are narrow-minded fools.
