Swinging 3-0 with Chipper on deck???
heyward swinga at 3-0 junk
still can’t get nothing going against Bell
Went down 1-2-3, but Chipper will lead off the 9th. Hope he has some magic in him.
September 25th, 20129:24 pm
cool Heyward swings in 3-0 count,,,,,,what a loser
got to make up for not losing on monday.
Brian from SC
2 outs, no one on, down by a run, your best power hitter trying to juice one. Bell made a good pitch.
Man, he just hates to not swing lately. Gotta look to get on base with Chipper on deck and Freeman in the hole. Took it the other way for crying out loud…..
Bad 3-0 swing…bummer
This is the frustrating part of the Braves…if we give up 3…we’re in trouble.
I don’t want the streak to end…
I really dislike the 3-0 swing. That ball was outside the zone and he should only been swinging at a pitch if it was in one particular area that where he could drive the ball out of the ballpark. That was a terrible at bat with the Braves trailing by one run and Chipper on deck.
Brewers are down 2-4 in the bot 7th.

Sometimes I feel that our hitters have problems between the ears.
Elway….retires a same team HOF champ in 1998.
Robinson….retires a same team HOF champ in 2003.
Strahan….retires a same team HOF champ in 2007.
Chipper…..retires with a whimper in 2012?
Hope I”m wrong but I say the samething this team will play this way in playoff game.Bet Carpenter is licking his chops because he is always hurt til playoffs. Heyward hit the ball if you swing 3-0.
September 25th, 20129:26 pm
now Fredi brings Kimbrel in no-sense situation ,,keep Kimbrel in the bullpen Fredi….this game is over
The Chipper farewell tour has indeed become a tiresome affair.
The Braves publicity people must have sent out press releases to every team strongly encouraging them to lavish Chipper with gifts throughout the season.
Not to say he’s undeserving but It’s been a little unspontaneous.
And the non-stop promos; it’s getting to be a little much.
September 25th, 20129:27 pm
looked like both those homers to Donovan were in the same place
you just never know what will happen in a baseball game
that was an aggressive Heyward, and it hurt.
no medlen: I sincerely hope you’re not serious… unfortunately, I’m afraid that you are
If the offense can’t put up 4+ runs, we might as well start Durbin.
And you can likely bet that Jeter retires a same team HOF champ in a couple of years….
September 25th, 20129:28 pm
Rossy!!!! Guess it’s a good thing that Fredi did run for Mac
Nationals losing, Meds is pitching, and you can clinch a spot in the playoff for the playoffs
you’d hate to lose this game
Come on let’s win it!
September 25th, 20129:29 pm
No kidding. I mean just spit on that pitch
Probably. Through no fault of his own.
It’s just his team. Can’t handle the pressure. At all.
September 25th, 20129:30 pm
tonight i lost my respect for Medlen,,,,ok maybe you can miss your spot one time,,,but no two times and noooooo vs garbage player like Solano…..i dont want Medlen pitching vs Beltran, Holliday, Molina and the rest of Cardinals in WC game……
There will be no chipper magic here…..weak grounder to second, maybe.
Atlanta is where dreams go to die….remember?
September 25th, 20129:31 pm
Another dud performance when it matters.
I have faith in Chipper’s ability to reach base and begin a rally in the bottom of the 9th inning.
John Smoltz was my fav brave of recent time. Hudson is my current fav Brave.
Chipper is just a Brave. I dont worship him. I worship the Braves.
Mike Dunn can be wild, be patient

September 25th, 2012
That’s funny. I almost want to laugh but I can’t.
I’m trying not to throw chairs against walls.
September 25th, 20129:33 pm
If you lose your respect for Medlen because he allowed 3 runs on 2 HR, you should’ve lost respect for Huddy after he gave back 5-6 runs leads multiple times.
Both guys are good, Medlen is better right now.
CHIPPER!!!!! Pinch run Fredi. Pastornicky!
That’s only appropriate.
Thank God for Chipper.
Everybody else sucks.
they should at least tie this game considering the situation ….. should
This game has the look and feel of the 1 game playoff that the Braves will play on Oct 5th.
September 25th, 20129:36 pm
Take that, complaining complainers!
Kris Medlen is the lucky charm! 22 consecutive games your team wins when you start.
September 25th, 2012
Here come the pop-ups.
calling the walk off
Freddie Feaking Freeman with da.BOMB!!!!!!!
FREDIE FREEMAN NEEDS TO MAKE A F ING CONTACT HERE. F!!!!!!
Wow … good job, boys.
OH NO WE DIDN’T!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Holy bananas, I can’t breathe.
Chipper ties Alomar
Braves Clinch a play-in game
Meds streak is ALIVE
WOW – JUST WOW
Told y’all this guy is wild… Patience
WTG Fredi. kept Meds streak alive
September 25th, 20129:37 pm
really got that one right phil
Mitchell, stick it jerk
The streak lives on! And all collapse talk can end. Now to clinch the #1…
Stupid blog messed up my calling that walk off!
What a NIGHT
That was awesome.
September 25th, 20129:38 pm
Way too many trolls………they need to go away and quit pretending they are fans.
All that hate….and we win the ball game!
It’s the f*ing Marlins, Braves.
What we need is a lineup full of Mitchells. Not an ounce of quit in that team!
I forgot that Freddie made the last out last year. This year, his bomb puts the Braves into the playoffs.
Yes! Yes! Yes!
This is how we doi it!!!!
How cool was that!!!!
September 25th, 20129:39 pm
Nats are losing too…. let’s go!
Love it! Make the complainers look like fools!
Chipper scores two, drives in the other – #magicalthirdbaseman…
So, if the Braves do the amazing and pass the Nats and win the division, do they take two champagne showers!!!!
September 25th, 20129:40 pm
Hey Mitchell — That’s a 4+ up on the scoreboard.
I was off by one….Chipper didn’t get the HR, Freddie did. BRAVES IN THE PLAYOFFS! Well, sort of…
Oh, to be a fly on the wall with Ozzie and Heath! DELICIOUS!!
Thank you Fredi!
I’m so happy I’m crying.
Mitchell is a fool. Ignore him
Kris Medlen has his team pick him up for a change and consequently, he now ties Whitey Ford and Carl Hubbel for 22 consecutive team victories in starts made!
Atta boy, Chipper.
Come on, Freddie
At least get him to third, if not home
Ha, nevermind he’s on third
September 25th, 20129:41 pm
Yes, it’s so bad to be positive…. Atlanta is where dreams go to die. If we can’t score 4, start Durbin, etc. We did it y’all!
NOBODY AND I MEAN NOBODY BETTER GIVE UP ON THE NL EAST. gNATS HAVE 6 TO PLAY AGAINST PHILLY.QA
Glad to be dead wrong!
Rose from the ashes tonight!
With this celebration, if we get 2 hits tomorrow night, a miracle.
September 25th, 20129:42 pm
Medlen picked up the bats earlier, tonight they picked him up.
Jon Heyman @JonHeymanCBS
great job by #braves. follow collapse with very fine season. (red sox didnt do quite as well in that regard)
September 25th, 20129:43 pm
This is nice and a step in the right direction.
We still have to hold off STL, there is no excuse for the Braves not to.
I do not expect to catch the Nats, just beat out STL and win the WC. That is all I ask for now.
But do not forget that no matter what happens, it still does not take away and erase the history of what happened last yr, the sting of September of 2011 should never be forgotten.
I am still mad about last yr even if they win it all, its not complete redemption for that collapse in my book.
Thomas Boswell @ThomasBoswellWP
Chipper double. Freeman homer. Braves win. After that walk-off fuel, don’t expect them to lose too many more.
Leadoff man on second base. He has to score. No excuses.
The A Bomb
FREDERICK OF HOLLYWOOD!
Don’t blow it Gonzalez.
That right there is this offense believing in Kris Medlen and winning a game for him. AMAZING!
Get Chipper some goggles.
September 25th, 20129:44 pm
I’m just glad Medlen didn’t get a loss.
It’s just a one game playoff though. Let’s not get too crazy.
We talk baseball, other sports, music, movies, BBQ and whatever (except politics or religion)
