Any ideas on answer to the trivia question? Besides Chipper, which other Braves player has hit 200 HR in Atlanta?

With Nationals losing it is a sinking feeling to lose this game with your best pitcher out there. We could have cut the lead to 4 games with 8 left. However being 5 games out with 8 left is pretty much the end. If we dont win today then our division hopes are over 100 percent

Actually, I see a good story brewing here. Heath Bell comes in to close the door, and gives up a 2-run walk-off to Chipper. We clinch the playoffs, and Bell has to walk back to the clubhouse, where Ozzie Guillen waits. Delicious.

Not sure I agree with pinch running Constanza right here esp with runner on first because we will need Mac probably in the 9th inning with game on the line. If MAc was at 2nd then i could see reason to pinch run but not with runner on 1st and 2 outs. Mac’s at bat later would been far more important

The Braves have a chance to clinch at least a spot in a one game wild card.

They should be spirited and relaxed and just play confidently.

No reason to put Overbay or Hinske or any left handed hitter on the post season roster. I bet it wil be Jeff Baker pinch hitting for power hitters like Overbay and Hinske.

Mac’s at bat will come probably during a clutch situation of the game adn we will have Ross strikeout or do nothing. We needed Mac’s bat.
Premature pinch running. If you had to pinch run why not when Simmons was up there. It would have allowed more time for Constanza to steal a base.

Maybe there’s hope we can lose out again, miss the playoffs and get rid of Fredi and Frank Wren.

It’s hard to know what would be better.

Get to the playoffs and lose in three to four games and spend the next five years averaging 86 wins or collapse completely (again) and fire everybody.
