Kimbrel doesn’t look the same. 94 fastball? used to be 98. He isn’t right. Even if he gets the save the guy isn’t as dominating as before.

Well, Huddy looked good today. Does provide a little more confidence in using him for GM 1 of NLDS. I still would prefer Minor though… Huddy needed a good start and he got it. Kudos.

Nice play, Andy!!!

Kimbrel’s fb was sailing high and away early in the appearance. He backed off on velocity to get the ball down (study your physics if you don’t see how this works).

He’s fully capable of turning it loose at 98-100 if he needs it.

CM, when you said OMD, I thought that rang a bell, so had to look them up. I do recall some of their music, which was quite unique. The lady I dated while in the UK for a year was a huge fan of theirs, and that’s where I remembered them from. A new wave group formed in 1978, their bio says. I recall her saying she wanted to go see them if they ever came around, but never did. I do enjoy huge orchestral rock pieces. I even love the Mystic Moods Orchestra with their featured thunder and lightning in their music. The ladies really thinks that’s romantic.

“The key play of the game was Pierre not trying to bunt and get on. With his speed if he gets on there might be different outcome to the game.”

Not at all. The key play was Dan Uggla not hitting a grand slam. If the air had been a little warmer, if the ball had been a little closer to the sweet spot, if Uggs had swung a little harder, the game would have been out of reach before ever Pierre came up trying to work a walk.

Lift yourself up, buddy. It beats the alternative.

not necessarily. I prefer the veteran between those two because I don’t see that much difference between Minor and Hudson, and Minor was really poor for quite a while and I guess I still do not totally trust him.
