The Braves offense will probably go dormant the remainder of the game when they need to continue putting the pressure on the Phillies. This game is still young.

Didn’t say there’s a Phillies bias on Fox, just that Karros made himself look like a fool over-analyzing. Last year, on everybody’s favorite unbiased sports channel, Bobby V. spent five minutes expounding on Heyward’s swing. He actually said it wouldn’t work in the major leagues. I’m just saying that some of these “experts” turn out not to be very smart when they’re trying to sound smart.

Looked up Teheran’s stats at three sites. Looks like he was 7-9 with an ERA over 5. I don’t think the Braves are desperate enough for pitching to risk him at this point. I see Medlen, Hudson, and Minor–in some order–with Maholm the 1st man out of the bullpen if one of the 1st three gets blown up early.

I’m not against it, but every time you give a chance to somebody who is not in the rotation, then somebody who is has to sit down. Delgado and Sheets, maybe. Teheran, I doubt. I’d say Maholm deserves a chance to nail down the #4 spot before giving somebody else a shot. But we’re not earning bucks to make such calls.

I’m not talking about auditioning those guys (except for maybe Sheets) for slots in the rotation at this point in the season, I’m talking about getting them a start here or there to rest up our big 3 plus Maholm. There is no illusion that Teheran or Delgado will get more than 1 start this year.

I am not going to make any more Comments about Tom after this, he is gone and will be missed. I think it is sad that David O’brien could not even respond to his comment. Tom being a vet should be enough for that.
I have seen Mr. Obrien cite many times his busy schedule. I have no doubt that this is true. That is why I can’t begin to understand why he would concern himself with random bloggers with a differing opinion. It’s much like the TV channel, go on to something else if you don’t like it. Let George, Ace etc. have their say. To threaten someone with banishment is really childish behavior.
I would be the first to agree with you if these bloggers where using vile language etc. They are not just an opinion and that’s all it is . If it’s an opinion of your work schedule so what? You know the many hours you put in.
Some people like Chris Rock some not. If I don’t like someones comment I go onto the next but we need all these different views to keep things interesting.

Brian — With that dysfunctional baseball operation and an ownership who might or might not even be around, anything dumb from them is possible.
That ownership is involved in too many things from Liverpool Soccer and the NASCAR (the NASCAR is not bad, that does make $$$$$$$).
First question — Who will be in charge — Is it Cherington or Lucky Lucchino.
They need a new pitching coach as much as they need a manager — that pitching staff is not that bad. Not great but should not have been this bad.
New manager and new PC and I could see tham being back to .500 as they are now. Bobby V made a clustermess.
