We might win a one game WC playoff but to win in the post season in an extended series, I do not think we are good enough.
Not enough offensive consistency and no way U put Hanson in the post season rotation for sure.
But, its better than what I thought we would do. I did predict a 79 to 82 win yr, so it has been a good year.
No way we lose the top WC spot not this yr.
And Home Run Tommy strikes again. Very BUMB.
I’d rather have Delgado get another chance.
This is one post I am being half serious.

My concern is, like any other playoff team is that we may have to rely on Hanson in a big game. I used to love the way he pitched in his first year and part of his second. But he has become very predictable and doesn’t seem to be able to take command of the game. Do you guys thinks the Braves management has noticed? Will they use him in a big game?

DOB, why would you even ask that? “Hudson or Medlen in WC game”? Just trying to stir up trouble aren’t you? Anybody with half a brain knows the logical answer to that. I know, I know, that leaves FG out, but seriously how many times have we seen Hudson give up big leads this year? I remember two distinctly. How many times has Medlen even come close? 0, zilch, nota, none, nil
Since Bud Selig says you have to win one game to get into the playoffs, no matter what you did during the year, that’s the way it is. As CJ said before the game, “It’s STUPID!”

Hanson just gives in to much. He is the weakest link in the rotation leave him off the playoff roster if the Braves get past play in game. Hanson pitches dispassionately ,like he does’nt give a crap whether the team wins or loses. Two years in a row he has folded his tent in the second half of the season. The Braves ought to give him the Strasburgh treatment and shut him down in August.

I like how Joe Simpson starts trying to make it sound better. Tommy got two strikes on Mabry, throws one 4 inches off the plate and Joe starts crying like it was a strike and bragging on what a great pitch Tommy made. This after the 3 Mammos off Tommy.
It’s like what if Simpson started bragging on Tommy like, ” Tommy just walked out to the mound after that inning and didn’t even fall down on the trip out! What a talent this kid is!”

your’re second coming to Ted Williams better start squaring up on the ball a little more consistently. Heyward far from being a elite player that we all want him to be it seems.

Our comments regarding Hanson have fallen on deaf ears for months. He telegraphs his pitches- tied for 4th in most home runs – lets everyone steal bases on him. He is worthless – we would get noting for him in a trade. He should not be on the Playoff roster. Next year I’ll probably shift my allegiance to the Nationals – at least they seem to be motivated – and have better management.

There was a day when i remember tommy hitting mid 90’s on the radar and then throwing a nasty curve right after another. Now hes lucky to hit 91, his curve is predictable and has not near the break it had (howard just showed you that). Not to mention my grandmother could steal a bag off of him. Its truely disheartning and gut wrenching to watch my beloved, playoff bound Bravos throw this fire crotch every five days when we have “flame thrower teheran” chillin. Just sayin, I would rather see a young future throw biscuits down the middle rather than this washed veteran that even the whole team looks depressed when he goes out to the mound…..

Seriously, why is Fredi staying with Tommy? He shouldn’t be in any post season rotation and won’t be unless someone dies. He’s a fifth starter at best now. Fredi has enough arms with the expanded roster to get Tommy out now. It’s a three run game. A couple of bad ones and it’s totally out of reach.
