Love John Smoltz but can’t agree with his thinking about setting up our pitching for the league series. What sense does it make to set up for a series that you aren’t able to get into? I say play them one at a time, and in this case that 1st game is more important than it’s ever been in the history of playoff baseball. Start Medlen; worry about tomorrow, tomorrow.

Just like clockwork…Hanson goofs up early–never gets off to a positive start, Hanson ball equals being behind by one tothree runs in the first or second inning and I personally don’t understand because traditionally he does relatively well thereafter………:(

There are players you move or give up on that kind of scare you that they will some day find something and come back to haunt you.

Tommy is not one of those players. His velocity isn’t going to increase with his mechanics. His mechanics are so bad one day his arm will fall off. His mechanics are also going to prevent him from being any better than he is now. This is as good as it gets with Tommy. He is a right handed Chuck James who is waiting to have arm and/or shoulder surgery.

A few Bowman and Jeff Schultz made appearances in interviews, Carroll was in one clubhouse shot and a portion of David’s head when they showed a clubhouse interview, but no full DOB or Carroll interviews. MLB clearly did not have a grasp on who the better interviewees would be :)
