if the Braves were to sign Greinke or trade for someone like Shields, etc., anybody think that Maholm may become trade bait. The reason the Braves like him is that he is finding himself and is a very affordable #3-#5 starter.

Depends what their philosophy is…
Budget wise it looks like they are comfortable with collecting a bunch a #3/#4 pitchers and hoping one or two of them emerge into #2 pitchers.
And honestly, there are not a lot of Kershaw, King Felix, Hamels, types etc out there.

Hinske and Overbay should be out there starting so that we can see who should be on our NLDS roster. Lets face it we aint catching the Nationals and we can’t be caught in the wildcard. Time to see who wins Overbay vs Hinske match up as well as Baker vs Constanza match up.
Jeff Baker earned alot of respect yesterday in my books after being intentionally walked to face Bourn. I figure this guy must have something in him that we dont know. This guy is a hidden gem

I watched the game last night and thought I hear crickets. There was hardly anyone at that stadium. That stadium was supposed to help bring in more people because its actually IN Miami now. They’ve even won 2 titles and still can’t attract an audience. Crazy. Should have flown down there and sat behind the plate (I saw a lot of seats available
.
Go Braves! Gotta believe!

LF Mark Trumbo since June 29th – .216/.268/.364, 65 games, 269 PA’s….Efrim
I argued over the off season that he was overrated by many here. He needs more plate discipline for one thing

Span is a lefty which I absolutely do not want to add, and has an inexplicable but constant drop off in hitting away from Minn. Kinda hard to get a finger on since they changed stadiums, but it is still there. Mostly I just do NOT want a lefty starter, we are 20 games vcer 500 against righties and several under 500 against lefties and we see them more than any other team because of that
