I guess the team could start JJ… he’s used to only going 2 or 3 innings per start.

Or even Hanson, it’d only be an inning or so less than what he usually does…

Sorry, just saw your question (super busy today)- word on Billingsly is that there is no word yet. Seems they are waiting to see if the injection he had in the elbow works, but the dreaded T word has been mentioned

So for the rest of the season, no Billingsly and possibly no Kershaw? Ouch, that hurts for a team in the thick of the wild card to have Beckett or maybe Harang start a one game playoff game…..

Chipper leads all visiting players with 40 homers vs. Marlins, said his favorite was his 400th off Nolasco.

Also talked about playoff battles with Marlins and rivalry in years such as ‘97. On the Livan strikeout-fest in NLCS, he laughed and said, “And Livan still thinks those were strikes.”

Said he talked to Livan in Milwaukee, and Livan told him if he’d had a strike zone like he had that day vs. Braves, he could pitch till he’s 80.

There won’t be any playing in next spring’s World Baseball Classic for Chipper, for those who wondered if he might consider.

“I’m a little old for that,” he said. “I got to play in two of them and they were two of the best baseball experiences of my life. But it’s time somebody else got a shot to play. If they want me to tag along and be a coach or something, maybe I’d do that.”

I am here, disappointed CHIPPER not playing, he should try to stay in lineup as long as we have a chance to catch NATS. BRAVES are capable of winning a 3 of 5 series, but with FREDI as MGR we will never get past a one game play-in. We need to win division.

FREDI does not manage his pitching staff very well, over 3 to 5 games the hitting might overcome that. in a one game play-in if MEDs or HUDDY don’t start our chances are null and even those two might have a bad day and FREDI does not use RP well.

Now Ronnie and Neil became good friends
their feud was just in song
Skynyrd was a bunch of Neil Young fans
and Neil he loved that song
So He wrote “Powderfinger” for Skynyrd to record
But Ronnie ended up singing
“Sweet Home Alabama” to the lord

And Neil helped carry Ronnie
in his casket to the ground
And to my way of thinking,
us southern men need both of them around

Ronnie and Neil Ronnie and Neil
Rock stars today ain’t half as real
Speaking their minds on how they feel
Let them guitars blast for Ronnie and Neil
