not a good ending at all to that AB Uggla
No excuse Uggla. No excuse.
That could have been more productive…
Stupid and awful at bat for Uggla. Just awful.
Man a 3-0 pop up by Uggla with runners 2nd and 3rd? Not very good. COuld be turning point of the game unless Ross delivers
Jesus f’n Christ.
September 16th, 201210:14 pm
All those ‘wet dogs’ will dry fast if we get some insurance here–just a base knock–c’mon for me, your faithful servant; The Capitaino.
Oh got to love all the love being shown on here for Uggla….geez people.
Good job, Dan Uggla.
Put the ball in play!
The A Bomb
The Uggla-Gonzalez relationship is KILLING this team like a cancer.
this inning is dying quick … need Simba to save it
C’mon David Jeez!
NO MORE FREDI
September 16th, 201210:15 pm
Hey Frank… Tell Fredi to hit Uggla in the eight spot. Their dook buddy relationship is killing us!!
Wow. Terrible at bats by Uggla and Ross. No excuses for failing to score with this golden opportunity.
Nice one, David Ross.
Braves did a good job getting runs in earlier. Uggla and Ross did not do a very good job there.
GD, f’n idiots.
Pick ‘em up Andy!
The A Bomb – Glad someone also sees this.
September 16th, 201210:16 pm
Fredi is conceding this inning. Hinske (not Prado, not McCann, …) on deck.
ROSS DOESN’T BELONG IN KEY GAMES
Out Of Retirement
Haven’t posted all night but UGGLA FORCED ME TO POST!
3-0 and that idiot swings and pops up! This inning died when Uggla did that!
Well this pretty much stinks. There goes the momentum.
September 16th, 201210:17 pm
that inning stunk
Good night, how frustrating.
Uggla and Ross never need to be back to back in the lineup. EVER!
I said it in May and will say it again…. RISP will kill this team in the end.
I freaking hate mini me Uggla. Selfish player.
September 16th, 201210:18 pm
All because Uggla gets special treatment from the skipper.
Lightning in a bottle doesn’t exist for those players who can’t provide a spark. It’s a damn joke after 2 years of this crapola.
Uggla really screwed up that inning.
Just like taking out your lighter and burning a 100.00 bill just for a kick……….sigh
Uggla just isnt a winner. That inning hurt.
If we lose this game WE LOST IT IN THE BOTTOM OF THE 6TH INNING.
I don’t care if Nationals get 3 runs of Kimbrel. This loss is on Dan Uggla and David Ross for failing in the 6th inning.
Mac might be hitting 230 but noway in hell does he put up a pathetic at bat like Ross just did
Pull the tarp and call it a game. At any rate, I’m going to head to bed. Been fun hanging with y’all tonight.
3-0 count and the worst hitter on the team gets a green light you have to be kidding Fredi.
3-0 count lazy pop-up BY Uggly.
Ross looks like a single A hitter who’s never seen a breaking pitch.
Just awful. No excuse for this horrible failure.
September 16th, 201210:19 pm
Leaving 2nd & 3rd on the table w/ no outs really hurts.
Ground ball, fly ball to right and it’s 4-1.
Uggla, in all practical sense….needs some counselling. The emotional ilk.
September 16th, 201210:20 pm
Happy Birthday Orel. I hope that cake gives you diarreah.
September 16th, 201210:21 pm
Seriously … Gearrin?
When Dan sits, we win.
September 16th, 201210:22 pm
Line on MInor: six innings, five hits, one earned run, two walks, three Ks. 86 pitches (52 strikes)
Gearrin is tough on righties.
Sure woulda been nice to see Prado batting instead of Uggla in the 6th.
That’s our “veteran leader” for the next 3 seasons, folks. The Golden Godson.
Gearrin does have something some of the players on this team don’t have. Luck. He has had some rockets hit off him right at people all year. That 069 ERA is smoke and mirrors.
September 16th, 201210:23 pm
deflatable….ineptness personal failure……I love these guys but oh how they piss me off.
Ross went to the mond and told Gearrin, “Now Cory, these are major league hitters, they aren’t like me now. HAHA. Listen, you seen me bat, right? Forget it.”
September 16th, 201210:24 pm
Apparently Kimbrel isn’t available tonight.
September 16th, 2012
Why not???….as he K’s Espinosa
Good to see Mixxo back. Better play nice with the counselor or he will bozo you again.
Lefties too apparently.
September 16th, 201210:26 pm
I can’t believe all those people saying we are glad you are back Mixxo when they were right with the counselor on the bozo.
Well done, Minor!
We Will Get Fooled Again
What will it take to get Struggla out of this lineup once and for all?
Like Derek Lowe before him, Struggla is living off one good month. The rest of his time with the Braves, he’s been awful. But because he’s grossly overpaid, we keep running him out of there.
Like Uggla’s inability to hit for the majority of two season now….I don’t think you can call the braves inability to get runners in a “slump”.
Kind of odd that Minor gets pulled after just 86 pitches.
Curt Suzuki….take that, then.
FIRE FREDI GONZALEZ
The new Peter Moylan.
Nice inning Cory!!!!
September 16th, 201210:27 pm
Good job Gearrin!
Good call by Fredi. Gearrin was just what the doctor ordered.
Hugo Z Hackenbush
I see that Gearrin is continuing to make the haters sound like chattering chimps.
Gearrin performed well in the 7th. Some more runs and better execution are needed for the Braves.
nice work Gearin
8th and 9th will be some tough assignments protecting a 1 run lead with top/middle of their order coming up
SERIOUSLY, GEARRIN!!!!! Great inning, Cory
September 16th, 201210:28 pm
Nice job, dude.
Let’s pick up some runs before Uggla comes up again.
Uggla to his credit had the right idea mentally he just didn’t execute it. Runners 2nd and 3rd no out 3-0 count. Uggla guessed that Stammen will throw a fastball strike which he did. Uggla just didn’t execute. I mean he would have gotten that ball in the air atleast and that was exactly why he swung at the 3-0 pitch to put it in the air and get a run in.
Even if Uggla walked I still don’t know if we would have been able to get a run in that inning with Ross and Simmons coming up.
September 16th, 201210:30 pm
I’ve not been a fan of Gearrin but he looked good in that inning. I felt sorry for the batter that got his bat shattered about 10 inches from his hands. That can leave your hands sore for a week.
Carroll, Ask Fredi
September 16th, 201210:32 pm
Carroll, not being a smarty, seriously could you ask Fredi if Uggla has an automatic green light on
3-0 or if he would ever give him the take sign?
I don’t know how I got to be n’ but it should be Keylargo.
September 16th, 201210:33 pm
When a manager talks about MOVING THE LINE and then goes ahead and lets his prized .215 hitter swing away 3-0 that says it all.
Talk to talk…..Take the walk….Holy crap. Enough of Uggla!
OUT OF RETIREMENT: Go back there. Every pitcher including our starters have rockets hit at times. I guess it was just smoke and mirrors that he won the Pitcher of the Year in the minors, too. It’s amazing that some people will put him down and don’t Moylan who is basically the same pitcher.
September 16th, 201210:34 pm
Gearrin has some potential to be a pretty good reliever.
Nats commentators: “Stammen is very slow to the plate … Walking Michael Bourne is almost like giving up a double.”
September 16th, 201210:35 pm
Great to see the brilliant Lane Kiffin joining us – one of the best blogsters imaginable…
We need a hit.
September 16th, 201210:36 pm
Reed wont get a hit, he is like David Ross a useless overhyped backup who cant get clutch hits
Keep your eyes open when you swing, Reed.
September 16th, 201210:38 pm
Mikey w/the HUSTLE
We’ll take that too!!!!!!!!!
Way to hustle, Bourn!
Hot damn, nice hustle, bourn
First place Nationals have found a way to give the Braves yet another critical opportunity.
another big run at there at 3rd
September 16th, 201210:39 pm
More torture and teasing.
