Francisco would be a starter next year he would set the strike out record. Fredi should of pinch hit for Hanson because the BUM is going to give up another homerun as everyone knows except Fredi.
Fransisco put up a pathetic at bat I mean down 4-1 runner on 2nd base and no out . You need to get the runner over and give Simmons a chance at a sac fly but Fransisco didn’t attempt to move the runner over. He didn’t sacrifice himself and instead was taking his usual homerun swing.
I mean I don’t think we want a player like this in our post season roster.
It’s silly to think we should’ve dumped talent at the deadline.
This team is one of the best in baseball, current slump, or not. The Braves are a middle payroll franchise, and until that changes, we can’t just “punt” on a season, because we are not THE BEST team in baseball.
This is the best team we’ve had in a while and we have a puncher’s chance to win the WS. Why think it would be better to keep kicking the can down the road? We needed to go for it this year.

There are so many incorrect assumptions here I don’t know where to begin.
We didn’t give up a “bunch of talent” for Bourn last season, when he had a full year left on his contract.
If he (and the team) had performed “like this” in the first half of the season, then he likely wouldn’t have netted us that much in trade.
Hanson can’t be worth too awful much in trade either. He doesn’t look good.
Hudson might net a decent return. But would it really be guys who would step in and make a solid contribution next year? If so, why would a contender trade them for
Tim Hudson?
Ha ha, Tommy Hanson f’n sucks. Has that guy pitched a single game this season where he hasn’t given up a homerun? The guys just flat out sucks. From his pitching motion, to his giving up homerun after homerun, to his errors, the dude sucks. For the love of god, let this be his last season in Atlanta. Trade him, demoted him, dfa him, just get that worthless waste of space off this team. Hopefully after this latest collapse, we will get a real coaching staff with some real results. By that I mean finish a f’n season for once. You can be 20 games over .500 every year, but when you collapse year after year, that is all you will be remembered for.
Ay-yi-yi, see I didn’t miss anything fun. Watching Medlen pitch one game and Tommy the next is like a rollercoaster ride. Highest of highs then lowest of lows.
If we have Sheets and Maholm in are rotation Phils and Nats finish ahead. Nats are build for the long haul.Medlen is the only one that could pitch in that rotation.Thats why I cant understand how we only won 1 WS with Maddox Glavine Smoltz and Chipper all going in hall of fame. Must of been old Bobbys fault wonder how he sleeps at night.
Braves have the 4th best record in the NL. If that doesn’t qualify them as one of the best, then it at least qualifies them as one of the “better” teams. Performance over the past week is not very good, but over the course of the season, it’s been very solid.
We have a good handful of guys who could get hot again. This is a slump. It happens. If it happens for two more weeks, I won’t call them one of the best, or better teams in baseball.
Right now, it’s a short-term slump that happens to lots of teams. With the current payroll limitations in place, it is unlikely that the Braves ever build another true juggernaut with no holes. Nonetheless, they’ve got a team that should make the play-offs and will have a chance at a title. Wishing that they would’ve dumped talent and to push for the future is silly.
The Braves will have plenty of seasons going forward that will be down, struggling to play .500 ball. This was not the year to look to the future. They needed to try and win now. This is arguably the best team they’ve had since 2003.
I truthfully would do a back flip if Tommy Hanson is off this team next year. I haven’t liked him since the day he came up, and really believe that the wins he has had in the big leagues is nothing more than luck. He sure has never looked like a 12 game winner to me.
