I’m quickly accepting this offense is what it is for the rest of their season. Hard to see a breakout. Almost everybody looks like they’re pressing.

I know… Fredi gave the denizens what they wanted… a speedy Constanza on the bases. Georgie blew it, not Fredi.

Pumpkin ball is slow pitch softball with a 16″ ball, I think I’ve seen more pitches taken in that game than in this one. Come on boys, you don’t have to swing at everything, a walk is a good thing, a hanging pitch is a good thing, a head high fastball is not a good thing.

You folks blaming Constanza are flat wrong. 3-1 is a hit-and-run. It’s on Prado to make contact on any strike there. I want Constanza gone as much as anybody, but let’s be real. 3-1 is on the hitter. Baseball 101.

I think the hitting coach debate that’s been going on around here should finally be put to rest. Pendelton’s offense did the best, but he constantly got pounded around here. Hitting coaches mean almost nothing IMO. Mangers can get some blame of course since they do make decisions.

Most of the main site has been, redesigned is what I think they had the nerve to call it, but this page is still a WordPress on blogs.ajc.com and yes, it’s been running very poorly of late.
It’s free though, so, I’m not _really complaining.

Yes, that is the 1st rule, not just for hit-and-runs though… however, if you are running, you can’t lean back to 1st and then run. Need to have your momentum moving to 2nd. You can have a smaller lead, but don’t lean back to first. I have never ever leaned back to first on hit-and-runs or steals. Never been told to do so either.

We do have home field advantage after all.
But if this goes to extra innings after the pitching we’ve seen tonight from Medlen, O’Flaherty and Kimbrel they unquestionably deserve to lose.
You might as well call it a day on 2012 if you can’t win this game.
