Just a day off for Bourn, with good matchup of Johnson vs. Detwiler.
Fredi plans to use the remaining days off to rest a couple of guys like he’s doing with Bourn (and McCann) today.
Simmons was fine when he tested his foot during BP and infield drills.

flange1, I’d be okay with packaging Uggla with Gilmartin for Infante, McCann and Garcia. I’d be willing to bet that Detroit would love the prospect of placing Uggla in a line that already has Jackson, Fielder and Cabrera.

Funny thing is at one point they didn’t see Prado as a starter either. Perhaps we just don’t have really good talent evaluators in position of power in the organization.

Half Empty, they wouldn’t necessarily need Infante to be a starter and play everyday. We’ve got a few guys that could rotate in and out if we didn’t get someone to fill that position on a daily basis.

I’m not so sure that we’d have to include that much. I think they would look at Uggla as a serious complimentary player… which he is when he has the right people around him. I just don’t think you can depend on him to be your biggest run producer.

Braves need power, if they trade Uggs they need Castelanos back from Detroit.
The kid is blocked there.
But if you do that deal, you need to find some veteran presence in the line up.
Who can also hit.
I don’t see much out there in the FA market.

Maybe I’ll eat my words, but there’s really serious chatter this afternoon about the Braves being capable of trading Uggla this winter without a substantial price being paid by the Braves? Namely, burning a good chunk of budget over three years to jettison Uggla?

Hey N8,
I picked a cool guitar from Mark Kendall of Great White.
It’s a Mary Kay 57 Strat relic hardtail from the Cunetto era.
Kendall played it for a couple years with the band. It sounds great and weighs 5.5 lbs!!!!

Never once have i said I hate dan uggla. In fact if you’ve paid any attention, I’ve ALWAYS commened his hustle and dedication to trying to improve his game, and until he got a tiny bit whiny over his benching I thought he was a real “team guy”.
i’ve stated repeatedly, that he seems like a good dude and I root for him to turn it around. Either in Atlanta or elsewhere.
But that contract? With our budget? And his production?
Yup. I hate THAT . But I don’t hate Dan Uggla. Nice try though.

That’s cool Flange. I used to be a huge fan of Mark Kendall’s. Not that I’m not anymore. But I can’t remember the last time i purposely listened to Great White. LOL. Saw them a few times back in the day. They were always good live. Haven’t paid much attention to them other than when they burned down that club a while back and were in the news for that.

The Braves can’t hit, period. This is what will keep them from reaching or will bounce them very early out of the post season. If they can’t hit against shi!@y pitching then they damn sure ain’t gonna hit good pitching. I hate to be one of the nay-sayer’s (I love the Braves) but the truth is the truth……

Flange, in May i finally sold my 1994 PRS CE-24. I paid $1400 bucks for it in Chicago in 94 and got $1200 for it in 2012, and the frets pretty much need to be replaced. Pretty worn down.
But the 94 and 95 CE models had a thinner hub where the neck met the body, so they were considered more rare, i guess. Sold it on Ebay and bought another 2008 Mira. Those are soooo light. Not sure of the actual weight. But they are PRS’s version of a Gibson SG. Loved the first one i bought, I had to have another. Just simply wasn’t playing the CE-24 anymore. So figured it deserved to go somewhere and get used. No guitar should sit unused in a case for too long. LOL.

Never really liked the band after they butchered the Ian Hunter song they were known for. But Kendall can play!
Love the guitar but have never really listed=ned to the band.
His “agent” said that Mark would sign the guitar for me, I asked him not to, but he did anyway…..
Not a big fan of signatures on guitars. I have one With Chet’s signature and with Les Pauls’ signature, that is enough for me!!!!

No. It doesn’t amount to the same thing. Some people spew some pretty nasty stuff on here about players and their families and what not. I just want him on the bench when he’s stinking and there is possibly a better option on the bench.
Nothing more. Nothing less.
In fact, a better solution would be for him to be worth his contract. Then everybody wins.

I’m not much for autographs either. I have an electronics plate (that ironically only fit on my CE-24) that is signed by Paul Reed Smith. But that is really nothing special. Because he actualy signs all of the headstocks of each guitar. LOL. So big whoop!
But the two you have are probably pretty cool. Especially Les Paul’s.
And yeah, Kendall can really play.

Totally agree on guitars sitting in cases.
That is why I keep all of mine out on stands, so I have to play it when I walk by!
I remember you saying you like the MIRA, they are light and airy, I just struggle with the PRS neck profile (yeah, both of them!)

I didn’t have original case anymore and it was pretty dinged up. And I believe last time I checked, PRS was charging about $375 to replace the frets and they needed it. Not to mention there is about a a 4-6 month delay in waiting for it to come back. They have ONE GUY that does it. LOL.
So you have to pre-pay, then wait up to a half of a year to get it back. I passed.
But yeah, it sold via the “buy it now” within an hour of going up for auction. So I too second guessed myself for not asking for more or at least making that buy it now a bit higher.
Oh well. After ebay and paypal charges, it only cost me about 75 bucks to make the swap. so it was worth it.
