uggla did get a run in, but the bad news is he had to hit into a DP to do it, but that’s ok, he’s back, and fredi is still ‘running him out there.’ Real smart move move fredi, to keep an all star second baseman in LF, a 315 hitting LF’er on the bench and running danny out there, because opposing pitchers really fear him, he’s ‘a game changer.’ uggla’s a game changer all right, nothing like hitting into a DP with the bases loaded to change the complexion of a game, or popping up to the infield with runners in scoring position to deflate a rally, If he were any less mobile at fielding his position, he could be replaced with an oak tree. Yet fredi will ‘run him out there,’ until the 7 game advantage in the wild card race is evaporated, just like 2011. Go Falcons, go Tech, go UGA, because fredi’s team is going nowhere.
Done in by one big inning in each game? Excuse me? How about our offense producing 1 (one) RBI over the entire series. Should have seen this coming when we needed shutouts to beat the Rockies last week. Now we get to go home and face a couple of southpaws on the Nats, one of whom could well be the Cy Young winner. Busting their butts every day…..you gotta be kidding me.
Fredi “feels” this and that. He needs to take that word out of his vocabulary, it’s getting annoying how he “feels it was the right move” or he “feels like they are turning the corner” or he “feels Uggla will come threw.” And tonights gems ” You feel good that Paulie can handle those guys and obviously that didn’t happen.” “you feel comfortable”
Gotta tip your cap to the other guys. Those other guys are good. They are like pros or something. Danny’s swinging the bat real good. You gotta tip your cap to him. Danny’s certainly earning his $240,000 every week. You gotta tip your hat to Danny. Did I say he’s swinging the bat really good. Those other guys on that other team are really good. Like pros or something. They can score runs. Like 8 tonight. Gotta tip your cap. Dannys really ………… Danny…… Danny……… Go away Fredi.
“With a little more than three weeks left in his storied career, Chipper Jones has joined an elite group that previously only included Hall of Famers Stan Musial, Babe Ruth, Ted Williams and Lou Gehrig.
The walk Jones drew to begin the fourth inning of Wednesday night’s game against the Brewers was the 1,500th of his career. This marked the last milestone that he had to hit to join these legends in this select group.
Musial, Ruth, Williams, Gehrig and Jones are the only players in Major League history to record at least 2,500 hits, 1,500 walks, 1,500 runs, 500 doubles, 450 home runs and 1,500 RBIs while hitting .300 with a .400 on-base percentage and .500 slugging percentage.
Jones’ career statistics entering Wednesday included: 2,716 hits, 1,499 walks, 1,611 runs, 547 doubles, 468 home runs, 1,620 RBIs, .304 batting average, .401 on-base percentage and a .531 slugging percentage.” — End quote.
Not really sure why Uggs is getting the bulk of the heat on the message boards these days. Apart from Jason and Martin, it’s pretty much the whole lineup that’s slumping. Who cares what a guy’s season average at this point? Question is, what’s he done for us lately?
Fredi has managed the Braves right OUT of virtually any chance now to win the division, as the National’s lead is ever increasing.
Will Fredi again manage the Braves OUT of even a rather unattractive one game elimination wild card berth?
Perhaps.
But one thing is sure: After these last three Braves and Cardinals losses, there are certainly several more teams now IN contention for potential wild card spots — including the Brewers, the Phillies and the Diamondbacks.
And Fredi’s sweating bullets — knowing that his job is assuredly on the line.
For if the Braves are OUT, then Fredi’s probably OUT.
I thought the Braves would be in playoff’s. Hate to be negative but are we in for another melt down??????. If they blow this lead some heads better roll. I’m still hoping because if they can get in playoff’s, anything can happen.
The Epic Collapse of the Atlanta Braves (PART II) is speeding up. When you have junk ball / gopher ball, pitcher, those 80’s mph guys, who pitch in the midle of the plate, and hang stuff, you get the Paul Maholm type, BLOW-UP pitcher. PAULIE is a re-cycled Cub, who has never pitched in a meaningful game before. We see what PAULIE does.
Wren gives the Braves his stand-by RE-TREADS…ball players, once good, now over the hill…He tried Livan…now there is Batista and Overbay. Sheets is another example. From Franki Wren, you get the same crap, different day. (See what Baltimore does, without Franki?)
Bourne has sucked at the plate for half a season…220 hitter, with ever icreasing strikeouts. Just what you need from a leadoff guy. BUT, just like Worthless Dan Uggla, and Brian McCa’t, Fredi keeps running him out there.
The rest of the offense (- Martin) is a choke job group of losers, with not a CLUTCH hitter among them. They struggle because there isn’t a stand up guy on the team. Fredi quotes that Bourny is now working with Walker, who “saw a couple things”…Bourny has sucked half a season, AND NOW Walker sees something. Fredi takes idiot to a new level, everytime he opens his mouth.
It’s now”down the stretch / choke time”, and for a second year running, the Braves show what they are made of. Quite a collection of choke job ball players. Being led by a Bozo doesn’t help, But Fredi’s good at it. He played a big part in last years EPIC COLLAPSE. THIS, we know Fredi can do. We watched it all last year.
Friday-Sunday will be anther sweep. Washington will have no mercy with losers. The Phils will do the same. In the next 9 games, the Braves will spit out 8 of them. It is who they are. Its how they are made. Losers find ways to lose. It’s what the Braves do, when its all on the line. They showed their metal in 2011. 2012 is a repeat. The saving grace, in 2012 will be the firing of Fredi G. (and hopfully Franki Wren).
No, Bill. Last year we would have lost 3 games in the standings. This year we didn’t. We still have a winning record in Sept I believe. Last year that wasn’t even possible at this point.
The loss still goes back to no offensive production. Outside of Heyward & Prado the Braves are slumping. You’ve got Freeman,Chipper,& Bourn with recent slump to go with Uggla & McCann that slumped all year and are STILL slumping. I’ve never seen a player like Uggla be allowed to keep his starting spot playing so awful all year. Sugar coat it if you want Fredi, but another epic collapse is staring you right in the face !
What was that? Freddie……..we hit the ball hard but right at somebody. Danny’s back, I know cuz he said he was. But I ain’t worried. We got plenty of time. No kidding!.
Lard ass McCain is the least hustling player I’ve seen in years. If by chance I were manager he would learn to run out every ball of be gone. I hate lack of effort, and from an “all star” no less.
Musial, Ruth, Williams, Gehrig and Jones are the only players in Major League history to record at least 2,500 hits, 1,500 walks, 1,500 runs, 500 doubles, 450 home runs and 1,500 RBIs while hitting .300 with a .400 on-base percentage and .500 slugging percentage

Those are impressive stats, yet I despise combination stats in baseball. You can twist and turn stats lots of ways to make a particular person fit in.
I can see a very plausible scenario in which both Phillies and Nats sweep us, split with Marlins, take 2/3 from the Mets and limp into Pittsburgh 6-9. Our place is not secure. I don’t like hating my team. I still root for the Braves, but our path is NOT certain, not even close. I’ll be shocked if we win a game in the Phillies and Nats series. The team looks pretty lifeless. It’s character time. We need somebody besides Medlin, Martin and Jason to make something happen.

We all know where this is headed. You can’t win with only 2 or 3 better than average pitchers and no one and I mean no one in this line up scares you on a consistent basis.
Hopefully the off day will clear those nightmares from last season out of these guys heads. Nats this weekend and Phillies next. At this point I’m not sure .500 ball is going to cut it the rest of the way, the Braves need to win all the remaining series this month so hopefully everything will be locked up prior to the last 3 games against the Pirates. It would be nice to be able to get the rotation set up the way you want it for that 1 game playoff and possible division series.
As we approach another Braves Collapse (Collapse Part Deux)
Here is a report card of our beloved players:
Bourn- Great starter; horrible finisher
Prado- No complaints; he is a consummate professional
Heyward- No complaints; Great bounce back season- Base running needs work
Jones- Its Time.
Freeman- Way too many strikeouts; excellent Glove
McCann- Inconsistent
Uggla- Consistently Bad- Primary cause of offensive woes this year
Simmons- Tremendous Potential
Janish- Horrible Offensively but who cares? His defensive is SUPERB
Hudson- Reliable, great bounce back year
Hanson- Total disappointment; Over hyped??
Minor- Great Start; rough middle ; smooth finish down the stretch
Malholm- Looked promising at one point but now he’s tossing grenades; not to be trusted in a big game
Medlin- Unbelievable. Spectacular. Consistent. A winner. Can it last ?
Kimbrel- An All Star for years to come; Reliable and Dependant
O Flaherty- Underrated. Nobody realizes how good this guy has been
Durbin- Off and on , spotty, but has pitched well at times but definelty overworked
Venters- Not the “everyday Johnny” he once was anymore; Fredi burned him out.
Willie Wilson is the ONLY player with at least 600 SBs who led the league in triples 5 times, won a Gold Glove, led the AL in batting once, runs once, steals once and hits once. And unlike the Braves third baseman, probably was charged with an error every time he made one.
Why in the world would you think that Fredi will be gone???
Look at all the years that they kept Bobby Cox with the same kind of management approach and management skills – only worse.

Semper Fi Braves Fan – those are alarming strikeout figures, but in my opinion, Ks and batting average receive too much attention. (I will agree that a leadoff hitter should never have 100 Ks in a season). Instead, look at the overall production. Guys like Adam Dunn and Ryan Howard strikeout like we change underoos, but they draw walks and go yard often, producing lots of runs. One other comment on Heyward – he Marlins RF, who we never hear about also strikes out a ton. But he is a far better outfielder and hitter than Heyward.
Because Don, everybody gets a trophy and this team is fine with 2nd place. You have to keep in mind, they don’t care about championships – they would rather brag about 15 division titles.
NICE TO SEE ALL OF CHIPPEE’S STATS ON THE BLOGS TODAY….BUT ALL Y’ALL MISSED A BIG ONE,,,IN 20 YRS HE NEVER HAS WON A GOLDEN GLOVE……SHOULDA BEEN IN THE AMERICAN LEAGUE AS A DH…
The other half of Fredi’s big innining excuse is nine innings of pathetic hitting. This is not a championship team and may not get past the one- game playoff assuming they even get that far. There is a complacency that starts at the top with Fredi’s rationalization and defense of poor performance.
Pathetic series. Getting worse than better. No hits no playoffs. Going out and picking up cheap pitchers and players just won’t cut it. Most of the guys just doesn’t seem to have the heart to win. Look at Philly they really look like they want to win. Come on Braves get off your sorry ass and start playing and hitting like you are capable of. You are an embarrassment to your dedicated fans. Just prove you can do it even with a jerk manager and GM. You owe it to your fans
I predict the Braves miss the playoffs again this year. We need to score runs and Fredi has Danny Boy at 2nd and Janish at short. Janish is hitting .214 and Simmons is hitting ,298….Uggly is no comparision to Prado in fielding or hitting. Does anyone other than me understand why we are slipping away again this year? GOOD SHOW FREDI & FRANK.
@TPic
Uggla- Consistently Bad- Primary cause of offensive woes this year
Yeah because 1 person is the entire offense.
The point isn’t about K’s for Uggla or Heyward, I perfectly understand that this day and age in the game a player with high HR totals is almost expected to have high K totals. Its all about the big fly for the big check.
A lead off man however should never be near the top of that list. Cut down on your swing, choke up on the bat, what ever you have to do to put the ball in play. The odds of getting on base with a K are about 1:1500.
As for the whole overall production thing.
**Chipper Jones never struk out 100 times in a seson, even the year he hit 45 HR’s**
**Barry Bonds only had 100 K’s in one season, his rookie year**
You cannot expect to have a consistant offense or be a championship team with multiple hitters with those kinds of strikeout totals.
This is also does not indicate having a good hitting coach – or at least a hitting coach that players are listening to.
When will the Braves be “the hottest team in baseball” in September? When is it our turn? Every time we hit a skid like this, the line is always, “Well, we ran up against some really good teams that were playing great baseball” Really??? When will that be Atlanta the other team is talking about?? Feels like “Never”.
Semper Fi – I think you may have confused me with another poster. I never mentioned Uggla in my comments, mostly because I like the way he plays – even when he isn’t playing well, he plays hard. Jones never struck out 100 times in a season, but only half of his career consists of full seasons.
After all those years, and years, and years, and years of suffering, and suffering, and suffering through Bobby Cox’s management style and management skills (or rather lack thereof); finally he retires.
And what do they do — replace him with a (almost) a Bobby Cox clone – who isn’t that much better.
How long does a Braves fan have to suffer?
Fredi you ass forgot to mention the great job that Venters and Durbin did. Just thought we would see Teheran or Delgado but we know have to let the two loser from Monday work the rust off. We all knew they would do a great job. Fredi will not win a playoff game with the Braves that Cox wannabe. FIRE HIS SORRY ASS TODAY.
McCann is the man, if we came to your job(assuming you have one) half of you armchair managers would get fired since you probably suck worse than Fredi, besides McCann’s homer won me the jackpot inning, so he IS an all star my book! Go Bravos
Dr. Baseball, I try to be objective regarding Jones’ defense and while I agree with your sentinent, let’s be fair. He’s really only had 17 seasons at 3rd base where he would be considered for a GG. (he was in LF for two years when Castilla was manning the corner and he was brutal out there) but I get your point. Other than the bunt or swinging bunt – which he is excellent at playing – he has been awful on defense for his entire career. That he has only 11 errors this season with all the gifts (he was given aniother in the inning last night where he should have been charged two errors instead of one), don’t be surprised if he’s handed a Gold Glove as a going away present similar to the all-star appearance that wasn’t deserved.
How can you not go with Prado at 2b and R.Johnson in LF? How do you justify benching a .300 hitter like R.Johnson then play a .200 hitter like Uggla? We need an explanation.
October 5, 2012 is looking to be the most critical game of the year as it will be the one-game play-in for the two wild-card teams. By my calculations the Braves pitchers will be:
I know Huddy would give it his best but I would like to see the rotation adjusted that Medlen pitches on 10/05/12. His stuff is just better and more consistent.
I cant take it yall…FG is not managing these last several games in the mode I feel a mgr should be managing for the playoffs..He has no sense of when to pull a pitcher, he has become complacent, lazy, and apparently unconcerned about the team getting into the W. series. The other night when he brought in Kimbrell, I thought that was a perfect move and I thought he had seen the “light” of how important every game is at this point of the season….but against the brewers….he convinced me I was giving him too much credit…LOOK Dumb A##, it is time to play your best hitters, look at the stats Freddie and use them to your advantage..if you dont , YOU and the BRaves are DONE! Go Braves!
Hope everybody sleeps today and goes to the spa to get treatment. Relax. Have a Few Beers…. get some new bats, put pine tar all over them and get the hitting boxers on for the weekend.
Given Maholm’s history against the Brewers and the right-handed preponderance in their lineup, should Fredi have taken a radical step and started Delgado in last night’s game? Would the blog applaud him for thinking out of the box even if the gambit did not work, or would he be criticizded for a dumbass move? If the gambit worked would Don give him a tip of the cap or tell us why it was a stupid move and only a lucky outcome?
Thinking back to last year, Delgado pitched the biggest game of the year for us (the first game in the final series against the Cardinals) and provided us with a two run lead going into the bottom of the 9th when Kimbrel blew his first save in 2 months. Had the Braves won that game, the momentum of the race would have changed, and even if the rest of the season played out exactly as it did, the Braves would have ended the season 1 game up on the Cards. Kimbrel and EOF were rested and the likes of Moylan, Gearin, and Avilan could get us through the 6th and 7th if necessary. He was not intimidated by the situation he faced. In the majority of his starts this year, Delgado pitched well enough to win, but got no run support. As usual, the bad starts are remembered on this blog more than the OK to good ones.
Uggla has had a terrible season, and projects to be a drain on the resources of the club for the next 3 years unless we can find someone to take him (even if we eat half the salary), but to focus on Uggla during the current offensive meltdown is misguided. Freeman, Bourn, and even Jones have been less productive over the span of the last 10 days.
Are the Chipper farewell tributes becoming a distraction for both him and the team? Playing at home the next 6 games allows the focus to be entirely on baseball, and hopefully the team will look more focused on the field. If I were Fredi, I would start Johnson in place of Bourn in the first 2 games against the lefties (and Ross at C), then see who should stay in the lineup after that.
There’s two or three over-the-line optimists on here who are downright nauseating! Being unable to face and accept reality is not a good trait. It’s one thing to be hopeful but when you have “crap” on the wall in front of you staring you in the face, it’s hard not to “smell” it !!!! How about racheting it back a bit. You are looking rather silly right now just by hoping for ONE WILDCARD GAME! What does that get you, with an obvious loss already in the books?
Dear Jim Powell,
I have to disagree with your assessment that this team never gives up of feels out of it. I see no enthusiasm, no drive, and no heart. On rare occasion that they come from behind, they actually show these things, but lately, they look lost. I know your a team broadcaster/commentator and cant sit up there bad mouthing your employer, but enough already. For the last several weeks when this team gets down by on or two runs, the game is pretty much over. The lack of offense is putting way to much pressure on the pitching to be perfect, and for nearly two weeks it was perfect. I still believe this team will make the playoffs, but I have serious doubts as to whether or not they can get past a one game playoff. The make mediocre pitchers look like Cy Young candidates, how are they going to fare against an actual quality pitcher? I have never been one of the guys to sit here and blame Fredi G, but I am starting to think there is a serious lack of leadership. He made a bold move when he sat Uggla, but two days later he is right back in there. Yes he has started hitting, but he is still trying to kill everything. I just cant understand how a team with the quality of players the Braves have continue to struggle offensively down the stretch for nearly three years in a row now. I am starting to believe it comes from management. Bobby Cox had a laid back patient attitude with his players, Fredi is of the same mold. Its not working. I love my team, but unless something drastic happens, I am afraid Chipper retires officially the day after the one game playoff. Geez I am such a debbie downer. Lets turn this thing around now and find a way to go all the way now, no time like the present to go on a run!
There is no reasonable excuse for insisting on playing Uggla and using your best second baseman in the outfield, putting your better left fielder on the bench, insisting on playing McCann and having your best catcher on the bench, using your over the hill castoffs to pitch in crucial situations instead of giving the younger pitchers a chance.
Consistently doing this shows the manager’s intent is not aimed at fielding a winning team. Fredi is succeeding at that.
jim – I remember clearly that game with St. Louis. When the Braves blew the lead and lost the game, I felt this pit in my stomach that the Cardinals were going to be a threat. Along with the Yankees, the Cardinals have a rich championship history and have great fans. Never arouse a sleeping giant.
A person could complain all day about individual moves by Fredi, but the Braves failure to win that game contributed mightily to the outcome of last season. And, it was all about player execution. I am not blaming Kimbrel as he was running on fumes and the Cardinals simply executed a great comeback. A cynical fan could fault Fredi’s handling of the bullpen last year which indirectly led to Kimbrel’s late season fade. Maybe there is little bit of truth to that. However, Fredi had to use his bullpen alot last year as there were so many close games and the starters were not going very deep in games.
Using Delgado now would be a bold move, one which I would not be quick to criticise if it did not work out. He does show poise in difficult situations. I just fear that his effectiveness as a starter will fade as he resides on the bench the next couple of weeks. It is tough being a manager.
How come we have only one error last night when I saw Chipper make two and Freeman make one, oh I forgot they are not allowed to charge more than one error per game because this is the biggies.
Just ONCE could these guys admit it when they’ve played like crap? That’s one reason they choked away the playoffs last year – because if you can’t admit when you’re screwing up, you can’t fix things…
When something goes against this team it seems to create a snowball effect. Fredi seems to be thinking about something else because when Malholm gave up the hit and walk in the 5th there wasn’t much communication between Fredi or Roger about strategy to minimize the damage. You could tell Malholm was frustrated and Roger should have popped out of the dugout instead they wait thinking Malholm will induce a groundball leading to a double play. Roger you better let Fredi know you understand the personalities of your pitching staff. Oh maybe not. No captain to steer this stinken ship.
This losing streak will continue because no one in this organization has the guts to say we are playing horrible and accept accountability. If they blow the wildcard start packing your bags Fredi, staff, and good ole Frank. I am tired of hearing excuses well the other team came in playing hot or we ran into a good pitcher. Who cares give me the results or sit your butt down.
a BIG THANK YOU to the Atlanta Braves for making our World Championship possible, and sending Tony LaRussa out a winner. Your collapse made it happen for us.
Too bad you couldn’t do something similar for poor old Bobby Cox his last season, or this being Chipper’s final year.
How much money do you think bourn loses if he contiues to slump through the end of the season? People were saying he might get 15 mill for 5-6 yrs. I’m guessing he doesn’t get more than 5 yrs 60mm
I thought Uggla was benched. Why are we seeing this instant out back in the lineup? This team NEVER puts up a fight. They lay down for a beating night after night. You can tell this team does not WANT to be in the playoffs. To them, it’s just more days they have to work.
When a team SWEEPS another team, it is a STATEMENT. It means our pitchers are better than yours, our hitters are better and our manager is better. It wasn’t a 1 game lucky outing. It was a series of games. The Brewers made this statement to the Braves. The Brewers are NOT currently a playoff team.
All the other playoff teams HEARD this statement LOUD and CLEAR.
The Braves are NOT a playoff caliber team.
It’s all Fredi’s fault!!! Fredi couldn’t hit his way out of class A when he was younger, and now he has infectred the team. In the world of weak hitting, Fredi must be a carrier. Just by close proximity on the bench this “Typhoid Fredi” has spread the ClassAitis bug to this bunch of major leaguers, even a future Hall of Famer. The only known cure for classAitis is to remove exposure to the disease. Fredi must be fired immediately or the team will not get another RBI for the rest of the season. Weak hitting is contagious — Chipper has admitted as much — so the weak hitting manager must go. It’s only logical.
Bob Horner- It’s almost as much Fredi’s fault for the lack of hitting as it was your fault when the Braves lost that game years ago in which you hit four home runs.
This collapse is a collective effort. Fredi is
clueless as to what to do to keep the ship from
sinking. He is in semi-panic mode and you
can see it in his eyes. I have never been a fan
of McDowell and between him and Fredi, I have
no confidence in their late inning decision making
down the stretch. The hitters are trying, but they
are pressing too hard, and have lost confidence.
They will make the playoffs. This will not be a total
collapse. Their only hope is to have Medlen start the
wildcard game, and hope he has another spectacular
outing. I still have a glimmer of hope that they can
get on a winning streak at the right time.
CHOKE CHOKE SWEPT SWEPT All year long there has been no offense to speak of. Why in the world knowing that Mr. Wrenn didn’t do a thing in the off season. If he worries about pitching and stands with the same attitude this off season nothing is going to change. We need some newplayers in Atlanta but the bad thing about that is it will ruin their careers because once in Atlanta their bats become silent. I just think our players don’t have the stamina for the whole year.

uggla did get a run in, but the bad news is he had to hit into a DP to do it, but that’s ok, he’s back, and fredi is still ‘running him out there.’ Real smart move move fredi, to keep an all star second baseman in LF, a 315 hitting LF’er on the bench and running danny out there, because opposing pitchers really fear him, he’s ‘a game changer.’ uggla’s a game changer all right, nothing like hitting into a DP with the bases loaded to change the complexion of a game, or popping up to the infield with runners in scoring position to deflate a rally, If he were any less mobile at fielding his position, he could be replaced with an oak tree. Yet fredi will ‘run him out there,’ until the 7 game advantage in the wild card race is evaporated, just like 2011. Go Falcons, go Tech, go UGA, because fredi’s team is going nowhere.

Danny’s certainly earning his $240,000 every week. You gotta tip your hat to Danny. Did I say he’s swinging the bat really good. Those other guys on that other team are really good. Chipper is always totally honest with his comments. And if he’s made a mistake, he’ll frankly admit it.
These are qualities to be admired.
It all adds up to Chipper as the true leader of this club.

Mark Bowman of the Braves MLB web site writes:

FREDI’S MANAGING
To the utter relief of most fans.

October 5, 2012 is looking to be the most critical game of the year as it will be the one-game play-in for the two wild-card teams. By my calculations the Braves pitchers will be:
09/14/12 Medlen
09/15/12 Hanson
09/16/12 Minor
09/17/12 Hudson
09/18/12 Maholm
09/19/12 Medlen

09/25/12 Maholm
09/26/12 Medlen
09/27/12 Hanson
09/28/12 Minor
09/29/12 Hudson
09/30/12 Maholm
10/01/12 Medlen
10/02/12 Hanson
10/03/12 Minor
10/04/12 **Off**
10/05/12 Hudson

Errors cost us the game last night and instant replay showed a miss-call at first cost us the game the night before.

There is NO WAY this team makes the playoffs.

Well, looks like the choking continues in 2012. Some teams seem to thrive on the pressure of a pennant race, but not the good ole Braves and Fredi.

I like how it’s Freddi’s fault that the team isn’t hitting. What about the 2-headed batting coach?

Bob Horner- It’s almost as much Fredi’s fault for the lack of hitting as it was your fault when the Braves lost that game years ago in which you hit four home runs.

Goliath, like how the Phillies swept the Nationals last month? Are the Nationals not a playoff caliber team?
Also not quite sure how you can call out Uggla when he’s probably been our hottest hitter the past week.

“Also not quite sure how you can call out Uggla when he’s probably been our hottest hitter the past week.”
Are Dan Uggla’s relatives in Kentucky hanging out on this blog?
Past week? What has he been dong collectively since June 1st ?
He should be on a milk carton instead of stealing Liberty Media’s dollars.
.214 is unacceptable on any level, as well as the .232 he coughed up last season
