Braves postseason tickets go on sale Wednesday

Braves playoff tickets go on sale Wednesday at 10 a.m. for a potential wild card game and the first two games of the Division Series. Tickets range in cost from $18-$95 for all three games.

Entering Tuesday, the Braves were 5 ½ games ahead of St. Louis in the lead for the first of two wild card spots. If they win the top wild card spot, the Braves would host the other wild card winner in a one-game playoff on Friday Oct. 5. If the Braves win that game, they would host the first two games of the Division Series on Sunday, Oct. 7 and Monday, Oct. 8.

Tickets can be purchased at www.braves.com/postseason, the Turner Field ticket office, through Ticketmaster by phone 800-745-3000 or at Ticketmaster Publix locations, and the Braves Clubhouse Store at CNN Center.

Do you get money back if we don’t make it, or lose WC?

I simply hate how they start selling before a spot is secured. I swear, last year we started to falter as soon as playoff tickets were made available.

Fed up, Braves are 7-3 in their last 10. Their closest competitors in the WC race (STL, LAD, and PIT) all have losing records in their past 10. And even if the Phillies or Brewers surge, there are two WC spots available.

Yes, Fed Up, the way the Braves have stretched their wild card lead over the past ten games is a clear indication that they will not make it to the playoffs.

Its not an investment its the price u pay to support your team. Besides, you get your money back if they dont make it, but they will

The one game playoff is a travisty & should be protested by the teams involved. Work all season long for one game? Better to toss a coin (saves the pictures for the “real” playoff).
The two cities that host should get together & sell no tickets on the home field side for a specified # of sections. Totally empty when the cameras pan.
Now as to an acceptable format under the time restrictions given- 3 game playoff but all done in one day!! How? Easy- the first game is already decided by the team with the best record; then day night double header at the best record team’s park. Done!

Funny, when the fans show up for the “playoff” game, nobody will be on the field.

Why getting down on fed up? He has the right to his own opinion just like any of you or I do. Just because someone thinks that the Braves will somehow not be in the playoffs either by completely choking like they did last year, or by losing the 1 game WC head to head game doesn’t make them a non fan.

What have the Braves done in recent years to make any of you think they won’t blow this opportunity they currently have? Anyone watch last season? They had a 10 game lead in the WC race at the beginning of Sept and BLEW IT.. So what makes anyone here think that they won’t blow a 5 game lead in the middle of Sept? I would like think that I will be seeing the Braves in the NLDS come Oct, but if there is one thing that I will never do with this team again as long as I live, is expect them to get there. They have blown opportunity after opportunity for years now, so that is what makes me think they have a better than 50-50 shot at not making the playoffs this year.

Sounds like a great plan.

Considering the Braves haven’t won more than four games in a single post-season since 1999, a one game playoff is a concept Braves fans should absolutely celebrate.

If they advance they’d probably still lose to the Strasburg-less Nationals.

At this point winning that game would probably be the closest thing to clinching a World Series.

That’s pretty plain to see if one were to ask me.

And if they did win (unlikely), they only have two games at the house of horrors, Turner Field.

Good road team, might be their best and only chance to win. Doing it in D.C.

They blew their chance to clinch last year.

A one game playoff is what they deserve.

My comments about the “one game playoff” was not intended be about the Braves but the integrity of the game. Baseball is not football – one game means very little that’s why the season is 162 games long not 16. You have to show respect for the regular season. If a team has a better record going in to the “one game playoff” it has to be respected by giving it an advantage ( & I don’t mean home field which is no advantage at all) but something significant. Mr Selig is just looking for a warm body (of men).

Is this a joke? If the Braves make it to the 1 game play off, considering their offense must be playing with fungo bats, they would be a 1 and done.

Obviously someone in marketing has been holding their breath for to long and is brain dead.

If you’re not good enough to win your division you don’t deserve to play in the playoffs.

That’s the travesty.

Bud Selig ever allowing a wild card team to win a World Series.

Baseball has simply never been the same since the strike. It was every bit as popular as football and far more competitive than the game is now.

That said, can’t change it.

It’s better to at least have one game. I was feeling mildly optimistic about at least winning that one game but clearly, if the starters don’t throw shutouts, we don’t win.

Got in on the pre sale, already bought mine for the WC game. Couldn’t pull the trigger on the NLDS series until I know we made it. Section 227L, Row 6, Seats 101-104, for 36/piece. Not bad at all for playoff games. I think we spent more on Opening Day? Go Braves! Turn it around and finish strong!

Every fan gets $10,000 if they choke down the stretch, $7,000 if they choke in the 1 game playoff, $5,000 if they choke prior to the World Series and $1,000 if they choke in the World Series. It’s only fair. They have to make up for lost time and countless past failures.

Buying one of these tickets has to be considered the “epitome of optimism”. Even buying one to the WC playoff game is risky, since it will most likely be a loss, based on this team’s past record and the way they are playing now. If you have money to throw away, by all means, go right ahead. It’s your money!

I have a better chance of winning the lottery than the Braves advancing in the post-season.

All a team has to do is throw a lefty pitcher and the Braves hitters are flailing away
