Because I’m mad he’s even out there wasting a spot tonight. Got mad at work when I checked ther lineup before leaving.
I know how you feel about Georgie and believe me I kid alot but I know he’s not the long term answer to win big games but heck fire Overbay???? At least when Georgie does play we win a lot for whatever reason.
Remember coming into the season it was easily said that the Braves have the best bullpen in baseball? But then all of a sudden we have to sign Livan Hernandez and Chad Durbin cause I guess they were better than who we had.. That right there still gets me giggling.
Lyle hit well in ‘zona and IMO is a better fill in than Hinske at this point. I think it obvious that Freddie could use some time off. and he did just miss a homer tonight
The dog is the Queen of the house, and my baby. She is well looked after. I’d be crushed if I lost her. Sorry to hear you lost yours. Dogs make life a little better
they’re talking about the seventh inning like it decided the game…..this one was over the first…after weeks’ homer….seventh just gave them some insurance
wow CR with about 1K words on the loss posted about 30 seconds after the strikeout…one positive for a loss like tonight for the sportswriter I suppose-which may make up for all the evenings with 15 rewrites (wonder what the print deadline is I’m sure DOB has told us I just dont remember)
Just hard to believe this team cannot drive a run in… I really don’t see us maintaining this wild card lead. Should be a interesting finish to the season. Tomorrow is a must win. It’s not about just winning and losing, but how you win and lose. These are the kinds of losses where the whole team is flat our pathetic that just kills any kind of momentum. I mean come on! Were in September facing a team under 500. and we’ve only managed 1 run in 2 games??? This is not convincing playoff baseball…. Yeah a playoff berth would be nice but at some point setting the bar higher would be nice. Cause we sure look like a 1 and done team. But hey it’s an improvement from last season for what it’s worth.
We get there best pitcher tomorrow against homerun MaHolm. Wonder how many times this year we lost after trailing after the first .Know Hudson has four times. Another thing that kills this team is Bourn and Prado very seldom hit in the same inning. I cant wait til winter meeting to see what they do.I say Heyward,Freeman,Prado,Simmons,Medlen,Krimbel and Minor and get rid of the rest.
Maybe we can scratch together a few runs tomorrow…. Maybe score on a Error, or hit into a double play with the bases loaded. Cause were sure not gonna be the one’s driving a run in.
I’ve changed my opinion on Fredi about his job too…At first I said if we miss the playoffs he should get the ax, but no… If we don’t get past the 1 game playoff he should be canned. Give Eddie Perez a shot or something. Frank Wren said this is a contender that needed a 2nd chance, Fredi’s job is on the line. While the players still need to get the job done…if they fail, Fredi has to take the fall.
I really like our team, but truthfully, our offense just sucks. Sucks bad. TOo much pressure on the pitchers. Ramirez was out at first, so no way they should get that second and third runs. But the problem is getting to the eighth and being shut out by a .500 team with one of the worst bullpens in baseball. We may make the playoffs but we can’t hit our way past the first game. We can’t pitch shutouts the rest of the year. Something is really missing from this team.
Can’t hit against even middle of the road teams. Lack of offense is the doom of this teams chances. When Chipper leaves and with Uggla and McCann on the downslope(seemingly). This may be the off season to make some significant moves. If not don’t see anything but a fall off for the next year or two at least. Oh this year? Not holding on to much hope Braves as currently constituted are just not a likely championship team. Probably just barely a playoff team and quickly out.
Is this what you guys want? A team in the playoffs that can’t beat another good team? Sorry but the Astros, Met’s and Rockies won’t be in the post season. Hopefully, the Braves won’t be either.
In are last eight games five of those we dont have a RBI thank god we won two. Tv ratings have to be bad for Braves games. Seems like every bang, bang play there are safe and were out. Call strike three we seem like we get called out but we cant get a call srike three must be they know strike zone better than Braves do.
A team that played badly versus a team that lost all semblance of discipline and control – or is your dimness so overwhelming that you have no idea what the first 5 meanings of assimilate are and feel you should use the 6th definition to assume an air of non-vapidness?…
