cabravesfan, The guy batting 300 is Simmons.

Uggla will bat .150 over the next week, then people will start to think that last week was a fluke. That’s the point, nolie, when he stops hitting, they WON’T sit him. They have proven that. Step back and look at the big picture. He stinks in the field and has hit 216 for an entire season. Some guy getting paid 500K would NEVER be cut that kind of slack, NEVER.

Folks…I am SICK AND TIRED of all this bitching and whining on here!!!!
You just have to tip your cap to the other team, folks. Plain and simple. They hit’em where they ain’t'em! You can plan that. Thats baseball sometimes! Folks, if you don’t learn how to Tip the old Capper, you will be frustrated and disgusted with a team that has NO BUSINESS doing so well. Folks, learn to Tip the Cap. Its as simple as saying…ATTA BOY FREDI!

our woes vs. teams with a .500 record or above continues.
Milwaukee is a win tonight away from a .500 record, but they have been playing very well for the last 2 months….
We can beat teams like the Met’s, but not hot teams or above average teams.

“Nats win again”

Irrelevant. The Braves cannot catch the Nats and the Braves cannot beat the Nats. They will be fortunate to avoid a sweep this weekend. If they take one, that will put them at 6-12 for the season series. And should they somehow miraculously get past the one-game playoff, they would play those same Nats that they cannot beat.

I guess the NLDS experience will be good, but this team is not getting any further (if they make it that far)

cabravesfan, someone tried to equate Simmon’s bobble with Uggla’s bad feed. I was simply trying to say that I am quicker to forgive a guy hitting over 80 points higher.

And I guess what I am saying is that I can predict the future. Danny will return to form right now. He’s not going to flip a switch and suddenly hit .300 over a sustained period. Ain’t gonna happen. I sure hope I’m wrong. But I say play Johnson, the guy already hitting 313 for the year. To me, that is the statistically smart move to make.

If Braves win one game play-off, they will play Cincy – who they cannot beat in Cincy.

But still they need to go into that series ready to play because chances are IF they make the playoffs (and get past that playoff) they’d face the Nats right off the bat so they still need to go in and give them a fight and let them know they’ll be in for a fight.
