A hit by someone other than Simmons!
September 11th, 20129:32 pm
Alright Prado – now let’s get some runs!!!
I love this team and want each and every guy on it….just in case a few ever wondered….I want all of them to succeed and play super. I have no enemies on this board and am not planning on having a problem with anybody–please (those few of you) don’t take my posts as an ‘attack’ on anyone.
Now, Captain Mudd, that is an attitude that I like. None of this is personal, its a silly baseball blog. There area few who are either ultra sensitive or elitist & that is their problem. That’s how I look at it.
What the hell are you talking about Capt? Do you have any idea what the heck you are even…
Just kiddin !
Freeman 5-32 with a .156 slugging pct. No EBH. 1 RBI. Frediot needs to bench Freeman like he did Uggla. Put Reed and Costantza in there and win games.
Sigh…..warning track power tonight
I know some people from Mobile AL who are going to be awfully upset about the time change for Sunday’s game. Had tickets for awhile after planning a trip to see relatives in ATL for the weekend. Great, then watch the game in the afternoon(only one this year) and get home at a decent time. Now thanks to ESPN being allowed to move it to night, that means arriving home in the wee hours of the morning. Kids stay home from school or send them on as “zombie” actors? ESPN and FOX have too much power over these games.
September 11th, 20129:33 pm
Uggla had one good night a couple of days ago, so he’s locked in as a starter for another year or so. I kept telling you to keep him in and he would come around, and he had that game with a HR and a double. All you nay sayers get off his back. I guarantee he will have another big night in September 2013, if not sooner. Just leave him alone. You’re putting too much pressure on him. That’s why he’s 0 for 2 tonight. It’s not his fault.
A little humor to relieve tedious chores and no runs is a good thing, eh.
Heyward almost gave us something to cheer for there.
Hugo Z Hackenbush
I’m an ultra-sensitive elitist, myself.
Come on Braves – relax at the plate and bring those runners home. It’s amazing how often this team shoots itself in the foot.
Yea– Freeman is in a slump and he is on my Booing list.
He is in BUMB territory now.
September 11th, 20129:34 pm
Tim Hudson said I could use my phone to post from the dugout. Cool!
September 11th, 20129:35 pm
Don’t run, Martin!
September 11th, 20129:36 pm
Chipper isn’t getting anyhting away with this shift.
Now you can run.
September 11th, 20129:37 pm
Correction…..warning track power this whole series…………
this Estrada guy has electric stuff……….no worries though, Overbay will get another crack
I weigh 207. As long as I’m hitting my weight, I figure it’s all good. No worries, right?
FIRE FREDI GONZALEZ
I’m not saying cut Freeman. But you’re just putting dead weight out there if you replace him with the obese Overbay or Hinske. Constanza and Reed Johnson are actually hitting.
September 11th, 20129:38 pm
Wow, Disgusted! No one’s ever quoted Edwin Starr on this blog in reference to WAR! You’re too clever!
@Hugo — Edwin Starr was great, real great Soul music. He had a bigger following in the U.K., but had two monster hits back in the day.
War and 25 miles were the big US hist. God Rest his soul. Unfortunately he is no longer among us.
This offense is just futile. They can get nothing going offensively at all.
If you don’t hit your weight, people start to notice.
This team is maddening – we should be cruising to victory with this bum on the mound.
Everybody’s got warning track power tonight. They need some Wheaties up in that dugout.
It’s not our night so far.
Overbay is overfed? Really?
Estrada skips off the mound thinking…Dang im lucky to be throwing 88-91 MPH down the middle and not give up a run like I do against every other team.
September 11th, 20129:39 pm
And so did Chipper.
Looks like the boys need to eat their greens… they’re weak today.
I just got home and checked the game, I see the offense is kicking butt as usual.
September 11th, 20129:40 pm
Estrada has pitched a masterful 6 innings. It’s time we start tipping the old ballcap gents, this is a heckuva performance
Disgusted, you’re killing me…
These posts look just like last September………and the September before that……
September 11th, 20129:41 pm
Dang im lucky to be throwing 88-91 MPH down the middle and not give up a run like I do against every other team.
He’s pitched pretty well since the end of July… 3.20 ERA over 8 or 9 starts.
Try to remember, the kind of September…
The obese Overbay?
I told Freddie, “Freddie, don’t you dare bench me. If you do, I’ll throw a tantrum.” So he sat me for one game. Then he came to his senses. How can you sit someone with guns like mine. I mean, really.
September 11th, 20129:42 pm
Dan Uggla, you’re not going to score points when you can’t spell the guy’s name right…
September 11th, 20129:43 pm
Does anyone appreciate how much concentration it takes to look mad and serious when you are getting paid $50 million to hit .214? The mental strain is almost unbearable.
September 11th, 20129:44 pm
I spell like I hit–whenever and however I want. Bite me.
Why can’t our 220 hitters hit go ahead homers?
OverWeight is at least 270. He/s going with the Andruw Jones strategy of listing himself at 205.
What is it with all these 1-0 games (usually behind) until late in the game lately? Seems to be the norm.
September 11th, 20129:45 pm
This has to be the worst hitting team in baseball.
September 11th, 20129:46 pm
Why can’t our 220 hitters hit 2 out triples?
Dan Uggla's Sport's Psychologist
Dan, focus on positive thoughts. When you go to the plate, pretend you are actually going to earn your paycheck. Think positive, Danny.
September 11th, 20129:47 pm
Oh, I know the last one. Because our 220 hitters can’t run fast enough to hit triples
All of our hitters are .220 aren’t they?
September 11th, 20129:48 pm
We should trade Kimbrel and Medlen for Darwin Barney. We would win 100 games with his WAR.
Dan Uggla's Sports Psychologist
When you think positive thoughts at the plate, it helps to close your eyes. Do that when you swing, and you might get a hit. Then that will boost your confidence. Remember, close your eyes when you swing. Your average will probably go up.
September 11th, 20129:49 pm
Huddy is dealin!
I wish some of them hit that much
Roid Boy is a good hitter. Notice how many balls he fouls off to the right field side with 2 strikes. Doesn’t try to pull every thrown ball!
September 11th, 20129:51 pm
Dan, imagine the ball going over the left field fence. Feel it. Think it. Imagine the flight of the ball, the roar of the crowd. Now imagine you are playing second base, watching the other team’s hitter circling the bases. Dan, sometimes the best medicine is to be well grounded in reality.
September 11th, 20129:52 pm
Uggla doesn’t look like a roider. He’s just short and obviously works out a lot.
Macs gonna hit it. Hes not blinking wildly.
I type to blame slow.
He has hit 2 balls hard to the track tonight.
Dan Uggla's Agent
September 11th, 20129:53 pm
Dan, congratulations. I was just told you are the highest paid player in the history of major league baseball.
Based on salary per hit.
Another victory for modern psychology!
O-Ver-Bay, O-Ver-Bay, O-Ver-Bay!!! Here it comes boys!!!!! Big Knock!!!
September 11th, 20129:54 pm
I’m calling an Overbay blast.
Here comes another k
September 11th, 20129:55 pm
Oh boy!!!! He fouled off a pitch!!
I’m amazed that teams don’t put everyone but the 1Bman on the left field side against Uggs and we can hope hes back but it aint happening reaching out there pulling a ball with one hand on the bat being fooled that badly.
At least Uggla is making some contact now. Braves offense in a serious funk. Wasting a good outing by Hudson, just like wasted performance by Minor last night. Somebody has to break out of this with runners on.
September 11th, 20129:56 pm
Swing…just swing guy
Dan Uggla's Priest
Dan, tell me the truth. You really stink this year, right? Isn’t that true?
Confession is good for the soul. Just say it out loud, the next time you see Mr. O’Brien. You will feel better.
He looked surprised to have made contact there…..
September 11th, 20129:57 pm
His practice swings look ok but the real swings suck’
Freedi – Put Georgie in so we’ll have a chance.
Overbay looks older than Fredi.
September 11th, 20129:58 pm
That little SOB!
You have got to be kidding me…..I mean seriously…..
Dan Uggla's Hypnotist
When I snap my fingers, you will be standing at first base. You will no longer be Joe Dimaggio.
Aoki has been phenomenal in this series. Sure didn’t expect that.
Ridiculous…sick…all those bombs dealt with, man!!!
Darn, another Bravo with warning track power………. and he looked so excited jogging towards first base.
Jesus, are you kidding?!?!?! That ball had homerun written all over it and then just died.
September 11th, 20129:59 pm
The luckiest guy in the game tonight just left the field…..Dang unbelievable
This offense is offensive, it will drive you crazier than you already are…..
I am being to really hate Aoki.
Estrada looked like he was throwing BP the last 4-5 innings. Amazingly, we failed to score.
Overbay could not hit it much harder. No luck for the Braves tonite.
What in the world is that little shi* playing so deep for? Damn that was a RBI double easily. Go back to Tokeytuoshywer or wherever you played at.
September 11th, 201210:00 pm
Too bad Corey Hart wasn’t playing RF tonight
Wow. That Aoki is a freaking pest!
No luck because of No Georgie
Simple as that!
The Braves have a knack recently for making a lot of their opponents look phenomenal…….. especially pitchers.
September 11th, 201210:01 pm
I’m MAD! OMG am I ticked off. This one is driving me mad!
September 11th, 201210:02 pm
Overbay finally takes the bat off his shoulders and . . .
September 11th, 201210:03 pm
Nice……….Braves must be using BBCOR bats lately
We talk baseball, other sports, music, movies, BBQ and whatever (except politics or religion)
