Michael Bourn’s 140 strikeouts needed 157 G in 2009 and 158 G in 2011. This year, his 136 strikeouts have needed only 141 G.

I’m doing laundry tonight – very thrilling – however the Braves tend to do well when I’m not watching the game am in the laundry room. So hopefully they’ll have one of those nights. Another random thought – tonight is a perfect night to star gaze (my laundry facility in my apt complex is in a different building so I walk outside to get to it). Not a cloud in the sky. Gorgeous. After McCann took his doses of catcher punishment last night, while Braun was fouling off all those pitches, the umpire walked out in front of Brian and threw about 4 new balls in a row back to the mound. Thought that was kinda cool.

Love the story on Jonny Venters showing the class last night. I respect someone who faces issues head on. I only hope he turns it around, has a huge outing for us, then gets a big interview.

I do think that Simba is more coachable and less concieted than that second rate mediocre thing that Frenchy is.
Frenchy thought he was better than he was.
I do think that Simba has baseball smarts.

Regarding Venters
I have no confidence in him right now. Movement, velo and command not nearly as good as early last year and the year before. He doesn’t even have the swagger any longer.
Its a shame too because in my opinion he was overused and ruined. There was a time when he was tougher on hitters than Kimmy was but no more – I hate it for him
Overuse before a kid has a chance to get a big money deal is sickening with the stuff he had.
