Is Ross unavailable? Unless that’s the case, we should have had Constanza running for McCann and then brought in Ross defensively.

after his throw to nail prado at 3B dont think they would have sent man of the braves there…maybe bourn/constanza/heyward/simmons

or maybe that is a reflection of our overall team speed :(

Not sure the list of people who would have scored on that hit is long…

Ross was unavailable as that thought never crossed FG’s mind to begin with.

Of course, Fredi knew Boras would make an out for sure anyway.

This is the old Jonny, I’m afraid. Gotta be sharp man, it’s only a 1-run lead. This is almost a must-win, Washinton won.

Can someone explain how Freeman’s gone from RBI machine to out machine? Yet there he is right in the middle of the order. Another 0 for RISP in the works tonight.

Venters is an awful fielder. First, the lead off man should have been out if Venters actually could field his position. Second, there never should have been a walk to Segura. Third, Venters had no play at third on the bunt. Terrible.

Nope… Chipper wasn’t catching that… not even Bourn if he played 3rd. You can’t throw a ball that badly and expect it to be caught. Also, the ball should have never been thrown there.

I think that this might be our meltdown night from the pen… we’ve been so good lately, too good.

I’m sick of watching Venters walk guys all over the place and making fielding errors. He is not the same pitcher since August 2011. They were trying to give him an out and he walks the F’n guy to start this mess. It’s become his usual outing.

Best way to loose a ball game???? Have JV walk a couple guys and bring in Durbin behind him.

I said on here a few days ago Jonny needed a different role than 7th inning guy. He already lost the set up role to EOF, he needs to loose that 7th inning job. Hell Martinez would be a better option.

Can’t excuse Venters and Durbin’s inability to find the plate then having to make fat pitches, but lotza folks here right about the offense. No offense puts a lot of pressure on the pitching staff.

TheOnlyBravesFan

Guys, seriously, the bullpen had to have a bad night at some point. They were unhittable for much of August, and practically all of September so far. They saved us quite a bit last week in those 1-0 (and any other 1run) games. Just hope that they keep it close enough.

I just feel sorry for Mike M. He pitched too well to not get a win, and to have the team possibly get a loss out of it.
