i think it might be related to the new system we’re using for our website. hope y’all will bear with us. sorry about this.
September 10th, 20129:14 pm
meh, good throw .. for the third time
Aoki is gettin’ on my nerves!
And we’re still running ourselves out of the game….Geez. Unless you have the Yankees offense you can’t do that.
September 10th, 20129:15 pm
Bench Prado…..fat and slow.
Baserunning is a mess tonight.
Oh good, give ‘em heck, Carroll.
Wake Up Jeff! (and Freddie)
Saw that coming when Prado rounded second. Aggressive baserunning good sometimes. Sometimes not. Braves have looked silly on the paths tonight.
pathetic base running by the braves today. Costing themselves outs.
Heyward should stay at first even if Chipper hits the ball…
September 10th, 20129:16 pm
Shame, cost the Braves a run.
OK….Ok…Let’s cook now guys
September 10th, 20129:17 pm
Teeen is a great ball player. Wish he was a little quicker afoot though!
September 10th, 20129:18 pm
Well baserunning costs us a run that inning…oh well
Freeman will never be a superstar with swing like that
So, there are people here who think a runner should always hold up at 2nd on a single towards the right field line?
well at least they still manged to strand their first runner in scoring position for this series
Freddie Freeman has struggled.
September 10th, 20129:19 pm
We strike out too blame much!
I hate Ks – When we are hitting. Big fan when in the field.
Braves having a suck contest tonight. Freddie, picked off at first and k’s on 3 pitches with runner on third. But lets not forget Martin continues to think he is Usain Bolt. He isn’t. In fact, his speed is average at best.

Nailed by a good throw….it happens.
Let’s cook now guys
I was going to wait a half hour, but I suppose i could…
“So, there are people here who think a runner should always hold up at 2nd on a single towards the right field line?”
If it actually is to the right field line, heck no, go to third, but if it is pretty much directly to the right fielder then yes you hold up, especially with the 3-4 hitters coming up.
September 10th, 20129:20 pm
Freddie does have a mighty uppercut going on there.
September 10th, 20129:21 pm
It might be me but it seems like Freeman fouls one off to the right in every AB.
Why do the braves struggle so much against these young and inexperienced pitchers
September 10th, 20129:22 pm
I meant to the left.
I was fixing to “BALLGAME” on that one.
September 10th, 20129:23 pm
Prado ain’t swuft….
Minor is lucky to have given up zero runs. Brewers have missed a couple of homeruns by inches and by fouling it off.
Thank you VJ…and give my regards to Cabravesfan too.
September 10th, 20129:24 pm
Man that catcher’s face doesn’t match his body. Like Jaun Pierre.
Rather he would have made it but it took a perfect throw to get him. Ball was hit behind Teeen so he is doing what the 3rd base coach calls for there.
I’m old school – Never make the 1st or 3rd out at 3rd but in that spot and with it being the second out I would have brought him to third also. Of course, the way it turned out, I’d gotten him thrown out too!
Freddie wants us to lose…
September 10th, 20129:25 pm
I mean his head doesn’t match his body like Pierre.
September 10th, 20129:26 pm
Mistake by us again
See? Wavin at air…..
September 10th, 20129:27 pm
Todays game is BS Runner at 3rd was out for Brewers and no call. Now the runner was picked off at first no call. BS!!
While we get runners picked off and thrown out.
man tough breaks on the bases both ways for the braves tonight…
Why is this country all about hyperbole? No one says the runner should ALWAYS hold at second in that situation. If he has average speed and the fielder is picking up the ball when the runner hits the bag, he’s probably gonna be meat if he runs. (like Prado) Lets turn it around on you. Suppose a ball is hit down the line and fielded with Brian “piano on his back” McCann running. Should HE always go because the ball was hit down the line?

A “lucky” strikeout, there.
the Ghost of Chipper Jones
BRAVES losing this game on the base-paths
HEYWARD attempted steal of 2B
FREEMAN Picked Off 1B
PRADO out at 3B
How about helping Heap out a little guys.
We need to do some little league “1 and cover” kinda a stuff and show our guys to get to the base to receive throws to make tags on runners rather than having to reach and not make tags. Thats 2 tonight
Minor is solid. He is turning into something I don’t think many of us thought he’d be. He does know how to pitch.
September 10th, 20129:29 pm
The United States of Hyperbole?
September 10th, 20129:30 pm
Dan Uggla, your all-star 2nd baseman.
September 10th, 20129:32 pm
And finally some base running pays off…
Swap Freddi and Mac and leave Uggs between them. Freddi wiffing too much lately and looking really bad doing it. When not wiffing – popping up!
September 10th, 20129:33 pm
Good situational hitting.
Pinch hit for Minor with his high pitch count with chance to score runs
GO deep MAC
September 10th, 20129:34 pm
Kevin McAlpin @KevinMcAlpin
Fan in the stands at Miller Park: “Hey Uggla…you’re ugly” Creative sir. I bet he’s never heard that one before, well played!
Show us what we been missing AS
Have to score a run here
September 10th, 20129:35 pm
Acceptable, I suppose…
Not what I had in mind for the run but I will take it
Simmons with the run scoring DP…
Send his butt back to somewhere!
Great win for Murray. First by a britsh man since 1936
AL SOMMONS comes thru!
GIDP with a run.
Speaking of Jerry, where’s his big mouth now that Uggla has scored?
September 10th, 20129:36 pm
At least he put it in play and got us a run.
DP … Terrible. Such a momentum killer.
September 10th, 20129:37 pm
Janish would have hit a sac fly, undoubtedly…(or. perhaps not)…
Not ideal but I’ll take it. At least he didn’t pop up or K with Minor coming up.
September 10th, 20129:38 pm
Al Sommons? Lol
September 10th, 20129:39 pm
I’m just glad we scored and have the lead because I’ve been worried since I saw the lineup.
No Georgie – No good luck charm – Whats Freddie G thinking?
Fat Freddie with cat-like reflexes…
September 10th, 20129:40 pm
Nice catch, fence post.
September 10th, 20129:41 pm
September 10th, 20129:42 pm
Aoki makes me nervous….like a japanese Harper…fidgety but good.
September 10th, 20129:44 pm
99 pitches for Minor through five
September 10th, 20129:45 pm
Isn’t aoki some kind of crap. Pout, pout fish. Bulb, blub, blub
September 10th, 20129:46 pm
Whoa, not crap CARP
I may be an ass but not that big of one.
September 10th, 20129:47 pm
@VJ…..I trust you at least have the potatos peeled by now?
September 10th, 20129:49 pm
Cant go with Minor to the bottom of the 6th inning given his high pitch count and power for the Brewers. It will be a mistake to send him out there. He will probably be in effective and pitching change would be needed anyways with runners on base. So lets not face that situation and take Minor out.
2 sorry looking cuts but kept the 2 strike approach and got a hit the other way!
Wish some of our other guys would try and learn to be better hitters with 2 strikes.
Atta boy, Prado.
Come on, jason
September 10th, 20129:52 pm
Carp, crap, tarp, trap…..
September 10th, 20129:53 pm
I hear you but I’d send him out once more to try and get to his spot in the order.
September 10th, 20129:54 pm
Hey Carroll, Mr. Simmons helped knock Myrtle Beach out of the playoffs, not Wilmington.
September 10th, 20129:55 pm
Better to be caught in a carp trap than a crap tarp.
Here comes Freeman. Watch him put up another patehtic at bat and run us out of the inning
September 10th, 20129:56 pm
Green Light here
Chipper got robbed on that pitch
