Prado and Freeman need to vary their hitting approach on 1st pitches. Prado never swings at the 1st pitch and everyone knows it so the oposing pitchers have an automatic strike one so he is always behind in the count and Freeman always swings at the 1st pitch so they throw him something he can’t hit and he is either behind in the count or he makes an out. Granted they are both pretty good strike 2 hitters but it seems to me it would be better to change it up now and then.

in a one game series against cards……will the braves go with medlen? or will they go with tim?

I would go with medlen ……. numbers dont lie.

you could still use chris once in th second round

Strategy talk but I wouldn’t have walked Georgie in the 2nd inning. Pitched around him and see if he chases some bad balls which he is apt to do. Then you get Tommy and the automatic out to start the 3rd. Just me.

Although I realize Georgie does strike fear into the opposition!

Love it! I would love it, DOB, if you could work on a Chipper retrospective to release once the season ends. Kind of a scrapbook of sorts. I don’t know if the AJC bosses will allow it to be one of those Sunday paper all-color inserts or not. But, I’d love to have something tangible that I could keep and hold on to…perhaps even give it to my nephews when they’re older. I don’t know who in the world will end up their favorite Brave after Chipper. They have never known a Braves’ team without him. Thanks for all the color in life you brought to our Braves, Chipper. We will miss you.

P.S. John in Wichita – I’m with you on that one. Most certainly, the Braves will retire #10 next season and bring Chipper back. I’ve never been to Cooperstown, and will do my best to make it as soon as Doggie, Smoltzie and/or Glav make it in….or at least by the time Chipper makes it in.
