I believe that the Braves bats will be resurrected in this series.
Looking for a series win, perhaps a sweep for the Braves.

Why is it that the Braves seem to catch a team on a hot streak? It seems like every series is against a team who has gone 8-3 in the past 11, or 9-2, or 11 wins in last 14…

Man, the ajc web pages look awful. What did the ajc do? Outsource web site maintenance to a bunch of drunks?

Let’s get the bats going. We’ve been crushing Mets pitching lately. Let’s get it going. Hope Mac comes back strong. He needs to get going in the worst way. Reed Johnson MUST play tomorrow. Prado at second.

Looking for a strong rebound start from Maholm to match what he did last time in NY. Niese is the only pitcher I fear in this series.

I’m expecting for Chipper to have an awesome series! It would only be fitting!

Why not bat Uggla and McCann 1 – 2 in the lineup?

It is my understanding that Simmons was 2-8 with two singles and had a throwing error in five defensive plays. Lynchburg is playing again tonight, and the plan was for him to play there. We might see him Saturday in NY.

I was surprised that Simmons was the DH last night. That’s not much of a test for his throwing hand.

Chipper has rested about 1 out of every 3 games during the first 138 games of the season. With only 24 gamews left, more frequent off-days, the tempratures cooling down, and the playoff race heating up, will Chipper play more frequently in the remaining 24 games? Resting him for the playoffs would be nice, but making the playoffs would be even nicer.

In the last 2 games we have seen both heyward and Francisco lead off an inning by laying down a bunt toward third and Heyward slap a single through the shift on the left-side of the infield. Freeman has been very patient and drawn walks to keep an inning alive, but to what avail? Francisco did score a gift run yesterday, but unless there is some productivity from the bottom of the order, it does no good for people in the middle to try to work their way on base and “start the line moving.” The lack of production at the bottom means that the people in the middle have to press to make something happen and end up trying to do too much. Might McCann and Uggla take a cue from the ABs of Heyward and Francisco and try to beat the shift or just makie a productive out?

Seems like we are hitting the sub 500 teams when they are hot these days… SanDiego Phillies, Mets… I guess its not about your record but how you are playing right now and a better indicator is the last ten games or so not the overall record.

The Braves need to pick it up with the bats. Remember early in the season when the line-up was smashing everyone? That can happen again and if it does the Braves can make some noise. If they continue this aversion to hits, its another year in the crapper.

I understand Janish not hitting, but Uggla and McCann are paid to hit. Bourne has also been a lot worse since the AS break.
