I cannot believe how often the Rockies pitchers are putting their hands in the fire without getting burned! Both tonight and last night.
David, you have to agree that despite posting the woeful BA with RISP, truth remains that many of those outs have been very hard hit. I saw the replay of the smash Heyward hit down first base line and that was sheer blind luck it wasn’t a double to the wall, and it might have yeilded two RBI’s.
What a great wild card race we have this year. Atlanta is 5-5 in it’s last 10, and the Pirates, Cards, and Dodgers are all 4-6. Nobody wants it. Any two of these four teams decides to put together a reasonable winning streak will run away with it.
I decided to change my blog-handle for awhile in honor of CHIPPER’s eminant retirement. I’ll go back to my former handle in the off-season sometime….maybe.
With a runner on 2nd with less than two outs the worst thing to happen to the Braves is to get a walk. Then the usual DP happens. Thanks Chipper, but we knew it was coming. What an awful offensive team.
How come the Nats aren’t tired and worn like the Braves? They play the same amount of games? The Braves look tired. Who can save and inspire this team. And should McCann and Uggla be batting back to back?
the crowd tonight is sorry. If the season ticket holders with the prime seats are going to skip the game, give the tickets to someone who will use them (especially to someone who might not get to go to a game otherwise)
it looks like a minor league crowd on a weeknight not an MLB crowd
