I’ve got a feeling that in the bottom of the 7th we’ll see Uggla batting for Janish and staying in the game and Prado moving over to short. Janish hasn’t done anything in a while offensively.

Loss tonite is not as big as lack of hitting with RISP. 2 years 2(3)’hitting coaches. This is looking like a culture issue. Change the culture, change the manager. Also, love CJ10, but some of his twitter stuff ?? Really?? Wow, clean up the image a bit bud.
Time to FINALLY turn the page, new era, new players = new culture

“…..If someone says something and then changes their mind, that automatically makes them liars?….”

I think BRAVA is referring to a WREN statement that the REV wasn’t ready yet at the end of last season. I believe I remember that, and felt vindicated of my opinion in him at the time.

I feel sure that WREN tried to work a trade or acquire a FA during the off-season that could bridge the gap until he was ready for ML play, or that SIMMONS might be.

Personally i thought the REV a half-season, and SIMMONS one and a half seasons away from ATLANTA at the time.

During the course of the off-season, I remember reading comments by DOB to the effect that WREN was attermpting to secure a solid starter at SS. As the meetings passed and the holidays came and went, it became pretty obvious that we were not able to pull off a deal for a starter at SS.

That’s when I began reading that PASTORNICKY would be given the chance to prove himself in ST. I can’t recall a specific reference by WREN that he was ready to play, but somehow I got that inference, and before ST began.

I remember thinking this might not end well, but thought WREN just ‘putting the lipstick on the pig’ so to speak. Maybe that’s lying I don’t know. I wouldn’t catagorize it as such, but others might.

is Uggla delusional???

Hitting .182 in the second half of the season and he is blindsided by being on the bench some??? Sounds like Uggla’s relationship is getting strained talking about just being an employee. Uggla did not produce and did not make adjustments so he is on the bench. I guess if things aren’t as bad as they seem to others as Uggla said, no reason to make adjustments.

Uggla’s slugging percentage has struggled this year Joe. It is not like he has been hitting a bunch of homeruns.

He is walking, striking out and hitting an occasional homerun.

Wren and McGuirk have lied to us a million times. This whole idea that Meds was in the ‘pen in order to limit his innings is total BS. It’s a convenient way to cover up their mistake. They thought they had enough starting pitching and felt Medlen could help lessen the load on the big three relievers. I agreed with the move at the time, but Meds has proven it was the wrong decision.
