I ignore most of the stupid commentary made here. But, to to the person who actually tried to say a battle where thousands of men were killed was significantly less painful than the outcome of a sports game — I simply have to call out how pathetic said person is.

And David, while I certainly understand your desire to call out people who foolishly question your professionalism, I would have hoped you’d had noticed that one and called it out also.

I honestly don’t know anymore whether some people are just scraping the bottom of the barrel to get attention, or whether there is something sick in our society that causes our perceptions and values to become so terribly warped.

A lot of men died on 7 December 1941, and a lot more people died afterward because of it. That event should never be a metaphor for a sports game — never!

Hanson did not pitch badly, you can’t win if you don’t score runs!

The post mortem for this years team will be “wasted opportunities cost Braves”. Some broken record!!!

I will have you know there is only one “D/A” on here and that’s yours truly. However “crashandburnedbraves” does make some valid points, and DOB always get very defensive with these. So many see it and make these comments often, so must be some validity to them.
I’m amazed these reporters and TV people can stand there with a straight face every time FG says “tip your cap”. I honestly would bust out laughing right in his face. Good thing I’m not one I guess.

DOB……….

Reading this blog I get the distinct feeling that 90% of the comments were made by some of the most ignorant baseball “fans” I could imagine…………

I couldn’t tell if half of them had gotten past 3rd grade and mommy’s basement or were just stupid.

ha ha – DOB, you’re really getting hounded in this blog…

Maybe these goobers will notice that they are on the AJC blog (the local Atlanta paper), and that the Braves are the home team. If you want to read stats and unbiased fact sheets, go look at one of the national blogs. Beat writers typically are “homers” as are local broadcasters. Do you want Tim McCarver and Joe Buck broadcasting every Braves game, or do you want the play calling done by fans your team that actually watch every single game and know the players? Go read the game recap on ESPN and quit knockin’ DOB. He’s watching the same crappy team that we are watching… and as we approach another September collapse, it undoubtedly it pisses him off just as bad as it pisses us off. Bunch of wieners -

Actually, DOB doesn’t have to respond to anything. Cool that he takes the time to participate.

The braves play for a 3 run homer , can we try something difference like stealings bases and hit and run. We need a manager.

i just wish they would give the guys in the minor leagues a chance ( meja, gartrell gearin) instead of overbay, baker bautista. and who made the decision to just now put medlen in the rotation when he shouldv’e been there all year.he might have won 20 games by now.
