Lol, Birman….I thought the same thing
September 2nd, 20128:29 pm
Bases are loaded!!! For Prado. Exactly who I want there.
Let’s Go… #CommenceTheChop
ooh, head games with Paps, that could work… he’s a lil’ hot head
Good eye, Mikey!
It was high, Papelgoon!!
Freddi just added added gasoline on fire…Uggla will demand to get out of Atlanta unless they win a (1) playoff game and I am not sure that will be enough…and pretty sure that any happening anyway”
I can almost assure you one or both of them will be back next season.
what kind of pick up did you expect at this time of year???
Looks like Bourn got the benefit of a call in that situation.
Mark Bowman @mlbbowman
Overbay has now struck out in his past six big league plate appearances dating back to July 22
Gotta at least give Freddie credit for making a tough call in calling Uggs back even though it didn’t work out
September 2nd, 20128:30 pm
“what kind of pick up did you expect at this time of year???”
Adrian Gonzalez? lol
*Will not be back
And if not, the Braves were owed one after that bad call on “strike” 3 to Overbay!
September 2nd, 20128:31 pm
“Gotta at least give Freddie credit for making a tough call in calling Uggs back even though it didn’t work out”
He’s got nothing to lose. His fate is being decided.
DOWN ON THE FARM
All games in limbo
September 2nd, 20128:32 pm
Come on guys, need 2 more
YEAH!!!! MARTEEN!!! Come on, Chipper!!!
That darn ground-rule double to Hamels is looming large right here.
Frandsen got a bad break there.
The A Bomb
If nothing else this might shake some cobwebs loose for the rest of the week.
September 2nd, 20128:33 pm
They ruled that a hit??
And I love Prado but man!
……Well this is nicer
what is this? a hint of the taste of magic?
bad night for Frandsen
That was a HR swing right there
September 2nd, 20128:34 pm
OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I just soiled myself
BRAVES WIN!!! BRAVES WIN!!!!!
Chipper! He effing did it!!!!!!!
I’m sorry but the old man has been terrible lately and needs to be sent down
Chipper is one hell of a ball player
Miracle does happen.
The old man may have just salvaged the season for the Braves.
September 2nd, 20128:35 pm
God Bless Chipper…..I am wow—just due this team is due–and Chipper deserves it!
We are going to miss that man!
wow, words can not describe how magical Chipper’s last season has been
this team is ridiculously lucky to witness the old man!
Chipper is the man
Any of you that fuss when he looks 40 remember times like this next year!
I’m in tears! WOW!!!!!!!!!!!
OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Moments like that are why you never turn the game off!!
Wow, Chipper shut me the hell up. What a way to end it. If this doesn’t turn things around, nothing will.
CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT???!!!!!!!! GO CHIPPER!!!!!!!!!
What a game…. but yes, we sure sukk…. bumbs
September 2nd, 20128:36 pm
Where would we be without Chipper and Prado?
can a part time player get MVP votes ?
Now that I’m done screaming…..
Way to wake it up Hoss.
I’ve watched over 90% of the games of Chipper Jones’ career. This is one of my favorite moments.
The guy is unreal! What a moment!
September 2nd, 20128:37 pm
That Chipper is a real BUMB.
He deserves to be Booed.
BUNCHA CHOKING LOOSERS!!!
Old man doing what the old man does
Tip the cap to Chipper and the Braves.
Took a nap before the ninth inning and woke up and….. What the hell happened? Yeah braves. A win for the ages!
Think Chipper just threw a shot at some of the guys “they pay me a lot of money to hit HRs and drive in runs and hit 300.”
I guess my excessive positivity is such a bad thing, eh?
Will be glad to have those idjiot trolls all shut up tonight
John Kincade @JohnKincade
Charlie Manuel, first base was empty. How do you pitch to the best guy in their lineup? Dopey move.
This has to lift the team and set them to winning again!
LOL at at all the fans in the parking lot or in traffic, you might have missed the best moment in YEARS
BRAVES win, BRAVES win, BRAVES win…..yes?
September 2nd, 20128:38 pm
Give credit to guys who got on the base as well.
Kincade gets at least one right:
John Kincade @JohnKincade
Gotta walk Chipper if you are Manuel. That assumes he is awake.
This could be a big morale boost and get things going.
Chipper gets it. He knows he is paid millions to produce, and at least he just said that.
Well, I’ll be damned. Finally.
Use this night, Braves, to turn the season around. USE IT!!
Damn, I am going to miss Jones. The Phillies will love it when he is gone.
That’s why he doesn’t call meetings. He had his meeting JUST NOW.
just what if, what if Uggla would have batted and hit into a double play? what if?
We’re not gonna win another game in September… lulz
Moylan gets the win, nice!
The collapse ain’t happening folks! Believe.
September 2nd, 20128:39 pm
But I thought we were assured that Charlie was such a great manager? Kincade must be mistaken
The old man, still the best position player the BRAVES have, when he is gone next year look out, a 70 win season.
Didn’t mean 8:37 to be negative. Just thinks he wants other guys to make plays too
I agree, if that’s not a momentum builder, then nothing is. One of the best games ever!!
September 2nd, 20128:40 pm
Chipper had a mammo tonight… gonna be a fun Tweet.
Lee in S GA
September 2nd, 20128:41 pm
this could be the turning point to a 1 game wild card playoff……and just maybe…just maybe
What we’ve learned from this game: Reed Johnson will be playing somewhere in the lineup for the foreseeable future.
TOBF – cab would be proud of you…
where are all the Chipper-rippers?
September 2nd, 20128:42 pm
Teddy Cahill @tedcahill
Before the game today he said he’d be lying if he said he wanted anyone else at the plate w/two out in the ninth and the Braves down a run.
I think he’ll want to talk baseball tonight.
Kevin McAlpin @KevinMcAlpin
Chipper said before the game that there’s nobody he’d rather have up there with the game on the line. Once again, he delivers in the clutch!
Suck on that Chipper Jones haters….shows how wrong you have been and are….
Ryne Sandberg, prepare to be promoted.
I’ve been gone from the blogs for quite some time now.
Can I say “ballgame” yet?
September 2nd, 20128:43 pm
Yes Amber ,you have to have faith in your Braves. This is the great thing about baseball there is no clock to run out ,you have to get all 27 outs to win.
vitriol spewer (phil)
By the way, in the latest instance of good things happening to great human beings, Peter Moylan is the winner. That’s my favorite part of the whole thing.
We’ll find out tomorrow if Freddie is really goint to stick with making tough calls.
Reed played well, He should be in left and Teeen at 2B tomorrow
They can’t bear to be around when he succeeds, and actually congratulate him… it’d be so wrong
If only Paul Janish would have attempted to go home in the 8th Friday night and gave the Braves a 2 run lead, we could have ended this series 2-1. Only if…
September 2nd, 20128:44 pm
People have been pretty respectful of Chipper this year. The last 2 years or so, not so much.
He’s the all time star of Atlanta sports. Matt Ryan may have to win 3 Super Bowls to even have a chance.
The @Braves were down 4 with 2 outs in the 9th until Martin Prado hit a 2-run double and @RealCJ10 did THIS: http://t.co/Q0p6dPYr
