My friend, a Cubs fan, just sent me a LOL followed by, “Hope you’re not surprised. The Braves are as typical as the tide.”

I replied, “F you, and F your boy Maholm. And the tide at least hits the shore; we don’t hit anything.”

I’ve harped so much, I’m the only Knucklehead that keeps bringing up the big “E” boys, Ernesto Mejia; .296 avg. 24HR 92RBI’s, Could’ve been xtra rh thumper off the bench, but heres the kicker, Evan Gattis, could’ve played LF, .304 avg. 16HR 61 RBI’s, SO only 40 times in 263AB’s, kid’s got some heck of a plate discipline, that seems foreign to quite a few on this team. Just been wander’n why these 2 couldn’t been called up. It wouldn’t broke the bank on the organization would it? Frank wren, give these 2 a shot. Gattis is only 25yrs. of age, was hurt quite a while this year, but both these young sluggers hit close if not .300 avg. & bring big threats from the right side. What we got now beside Reed Johnson ain’t much.

One run. One run in two REAL opportunities.

It’s September. With unlimited expanded rosters, you should have enough bodies in that pen to cover any situation. If you don’t , it’s your own fault. Maholm should not have even have swung the bat. Should have pinch hit for him even if it was only the second since you were still down by 4.

So you send Maholm back out and all you get is giving up more runs.

Everyone else has been what would be considered steady for them.

The problems and reason for sub par year so far this year is the poor play of Uggla and McCann – Unfortunately these two are suppose to be run producers and they just haven;t gotten it done(Mac can’t see and has had injuries and Uggla has been, well, Uggla)
