No – Frank Wren makes personnel decisions like who becomes a Brave and whooes or doesn’t remain. Fredi makes linp and managerial desicions. That’s just the way it is – it’s called chain of command and deleion of duties.

Hi Lew
The above is how it SHOULD work, but remember FREDI is stupid and stubbern.
Constanza goes from not being good enough to have a bench spot during the season too starting in LF and batting 2nd. Usually September call-ups don’t get called upon to start games. So lets start em when the games matter even more, but not good enough for a bench spot most of the season. Gotta love it!
truth: Reed is good against RHP, but he isn’t that good…. He has a .283 batting avg. against RHP, our lefties are all near or above that. He is better against RHP than Constanza is…
So I guess tomorrow Constanza is gonna play in RF to give Heyward a day off? Hell lets start Constanza in RF, Baker in LF, Pastor at 2nd, and Overbay at 1st oh and Francisco at 3rd and Reed in CF, and Boscan at C…. I mean we gotta shake things up, were only trying to make the playoffs…
To me I don’t see how plugging Constanza in the lineup is a better option than Reed Johnson regardless of opposing pitcher… Constanza wasn’t even good enough for a bench spot and now he’s starting in September lol..
Meds interviewed on pre-game; #54 with the ‘light-hearted’ answers, sitting by his locker. Fox SS mic reaching down for the jovial answers; guy seems loose and ready.

I think CONSTANZA picks the team up when he starts. Last season the team had a better win-loss record when he started in CF than when others did.
I do, too, George. There are just a bunch of Georgie haters here. I hope he makes them eat their words today.
He might today, but Uggla and BMac shut up their haters for a bit too… look at where they still are.
Georgie is a minor league journeyman, no more… just look at his avg. this year… .216. (over 16games I believe.) His career starts (including last year) aren’t impressing. He’s a minor leaguer, let him stay there.
Glad to see that Fredi finally grew “a pair”. Does this mean that I think Fredi shouldn’t be fired? Not at all. Unlike a lot of posters here, I don’t spend much time at all denigrating Fredi’s ability as manager. I think he sucks at his job, but I think it’s a waste of time beating that dead horse. I spend enough time beating a dead horse with my absolute dislike for Uggla. I would have given him his walking papers long ago and driven the bus to the bus station and asked Fredi to walk him to the gate and then driven off, leaving Fredi with that stupid look on his face. Anyway, what’s done is done. The Braves should be ecstatic that with as bad as they’ve played, the Cards, Pirates, and Dodgers haven’t exactly put their best foot forward yet. Still, even if the Braves win one of the wild cards, they will lose that game if Medlen is not the pitcher.
Constanza’s .216 batting average is less of a concern than his .216 on base percentage. The guy is an out machine that swings at everything the pitcher throws.
Hello everyone! Just got back from the lake. Nice walk off by Chipper against the Phillies, and nice game by Medlen yesterday against the Rockies. Who’s this Baker guy?

Have to give him (Constanza) a chance and great to have him for a pinch runner late in games he doesn’t start.
He should only be a pinch-runner…
Let’s hope Fredi gets Hanson out the rotation now too, since he’s being tough.
