If the WC Era has shown anything, it is that playoff baseball is all about momentum. Even the optimists on the blog would be hard-pressed like a steam roller to point to the kind of players on this present club who are even capable of putting on a run that catapults the Braves.

Ya gotta feel for Heyward & Freeman. They probably think they have to do the heavy lifting, and they don’t have a clue right now. Another demoralizing Sept., and they may never know how to.

Hello everyone! This is funny, because most ripped me for complaining, so the panic button has been pushed……. I’ll just sit back, and enjoy the panic after only 1 game into Sept. We still have 29 games left. Thanks for the entertainment…..LOL!!!!! Peace my friends. I’m calling it a day, and please try not to kill each other……”Go!!!!!Braves!!!!!”

There’s nothing “the city” can do about the lack of superior results with our teams other than not go to the games.

That isn’t happening in large enough numbers, so accept what we’ve got. Might as well.

We can gripe, gripe, gripe but it’s pointless, aside from maybe getting the idiot manager fired.

In August:
Hamels..1.86…3-1
Halladay..3.32..4-1
Lee,,3.47..1-1
Kendrick.2.95..4-1

The pitching has recovered from its early season woes. Not all of the Braves’ problems are due to bad hitting.

Their middle relief has been the main problem. So being patient with Lee should be a priority. I don’t see it happening.

As Green Days says, “Wake me up when september ends!”. The team can say that this year is different, but I am afraid we will soon see that it is no different. The mental leadership provided by Fredi Gonzales has always been poor and this team falls apart under pressure. They seem to do well as the underdog(i.e. down 5-0 and feeling like the game is lost); but when it comes time to perform in key games and key situations they crumble. Its a shame because they are probably one of the most talented teams in baseball. They need a manager who can harness this talent and bring out its potential.

1. Obviously Tim Hudson is NOT an ace, and can’t win meaningful games.
2. The Altanata offense is a joke.
3. Dan Uggla is as he’s been for 3 + months…Worthless in any measure.
4. The 2012 September Braves are every bit the chokers, as the September 2011 Braves proved to be.
5. If there is a headcase, choke job, spit-it-out team in MLB, it is the Atlanta Braves.
6. Winners find a way to win. The Braves, under Fredi G. find a way to spit it out in September. They are who they are, and they show it.

The Braves need to bench McCann for the rest of the season. I am sick of this fat ass’ selfishness and demanding to play through injuries that are clearly affecting his ability to play.

I would sacrifice a family member to get David Ross in there everyday.

In fact, I hope the Braves decline McCann’s option next season if he’s going to keep screwing up like this down the stretch every season.

Another quality start by Hudson the braves STOPPER!!! LOL!! This guy disappears in every big game, and especially when the team needs a strong outing. Yet all braves fans think he is a big time #1 starter. Only thing that is big time about Hudson is the money the braves are paying him. He and McCant should be 2 veterans that the braves can count on in big games.

Kris

If the Braves collapse again this year, next year might be a great year to rebuild. We have a lot of salary coming off the books and hopefully more with McCann and Uggla out the door. I think we should trade Hudson and Maholm and go with a rotation of Medlen, Hanson (gotta give him a chance to get back on track), Minor, Delgado and Teheran. Let’s give them a year to mature with little to no pressure to win. Keep Heyward, Freeman, Simmons and Prado as our offensive core then try to find some additional pieces to round out the team. Maybe try to pry Upton from Arizona or take a shot on some other guys.

I wonder if Liberty would roll-over the savings from one year to the next? I hate to see this team have a down year, but I don’t see us being all that competitive next year anyway. I don’t see why we can’t rebuild for one season with an eye towards 2014.
