The Braves never hit when Minor pitches, MIke should be a .500 pitcher with better run support.
Minor is a guy you have to like cause of how he has improved after that rough time in May and June. If he could only lay off the HR ball he could be great.

I do not know alot about Jeff Baker but seems like guy who can play al over the place and has put up servicable offensive numbers over his career.
You cannot be hurt picking up guys like that down the stretch. Wonder who the PTBNL is though?

Baker gives more flexibility.
Can give Uggla a day off without having to move Prado. With Overbay coming can give Freeman a day off without moving Prado. Basically keeps Prado focused on LF/3B which can be a good thing.

I hope that Simmons can come back even it its around 9/15 or so.
Janish has been more valuable then we could have expected but come on, we need Andy’s all around game back. If not this yr, then maybe he is right for 2013, do not want to see him risk further damage, his future is too important for us.
Now we need runs.

Baker appeared in 15 games for the Tigers this month after he was acquired from the Cubs. The veteran has played second base and all four corner positions this year, while posting a line of .254/.293/.408 in 181 total plate appearances. For his career, Baker boasts a strong batting line of .298/.346/.505 against left-handers.

Uggla and McCann should not even be in the darn lineup. Two walks and a single And the Braves cant score. This is a playoff team Wren you should of blown this team up last winter.Hell we should get shut out all three games. Still say maybe a wild card and one game season over. This team’s gonna have to fight through the demons of the past two years because despite what the players and the AJC think, the real problem is the inability to hit. Uggla and McCann will stay in the lineup because Fredi is going to play by the book and quite frankly, I don’t blame him. You can only blame injuries so many times.

Fredi needs to grow a pair and do something that sends a message to Uggla, pinch hit for him, sit him for more than one day, or whatever. If Uggla even gave the hint of trying to make an adjustment then I could see sending him out there, but he continues to try to pull everything out of the stadium.
It’s kind of hard to in when 4 out of 9 are pretty much automatic outs.

If Fredi goes out on a limb and benches Uggla, the comment from management is hey…we are playing Uggla a lot of money you should have played him and then his job is in jepoardy. If he keeps sending him out there what can happen to him (Fredi)? How on earth can you blame him for sending out one of your highest paid players? Fredi is not stupid.

I hope that we see more of Baker at second base down the stretch.
I have really tried to defend Uggla but as for this yr, I cannot take it anymore.
The Braves best chances to win as it is now if for Uggla to be replaced cause come on, we are not going to see the good Dan Uggla again at least for this yr.
If he can be the Florida version of Dan Uggla in 2013 great, but I do not think we will see that player again. He is not good anymore, I do not care what his WAR is, he stinks right now as we get to September 1, 2012. We cannot win with him.
And I want to see more of Ross behind the place cause Mc Cann s done, forget about that option next yr, have to get a better player in there.
