I’m sure you are, man. I’m sure you are. Sucks to be wrong, doesn’t it? Especially when so many here had Medlen pegged right all along.
I’m enjoying reading the Medlen blogs. Lots of good stats and opinions from informed observers, like teammates and ex-players, who might just know a little more than nolie. For most of us, it’s a lot of fun watching Meds pitch every 5th day. Too bad the vocal minority of blog regulars can’t enjoy it too, because they’re so bitter about being wrong as to what he’d do as a starter.

Sometimes when I am on a different sight and I want to reply to a comment the site requires you to register. If there’s a good chance I won’t go back to that sight I just keep my comment to myself and move on. The same should happen here.
If someone is a regular then signing up should not be a problem. Registering and waiting for a confirmation email should keep most the vitriol-spewing misanthropes away.

DOB, do you think that Teheran and/or Delgado will turn things around this year or next? Both seem to be getting shelled in the minors, so I doubt either will be brought up anytime soon. Should they be used as trade bait, to see if anyone will bite? The Braves already gave away their one young arm showing promise (despite the injury) to the Cubs…

For one of the few times I agree with Nolie I have said all along that Francisco stats will suffer when he faces lefthand pitching. So far this year he has only started against right hand pitching and if you remember Chipper said one night that he would not leave Francisco in the lurch batting against a right hander so Chipper played.

For those posting on next year’s roster, realize that Sheets, Durbin, Wilson, Ross, Diaz, Hinske, Overbay, Johnson, and Bourn are free agents. Seems like we have enough pitching, even with Sheets and Durbin gone. But we are going to need a BU catcher, a LF (assuming Prado spends most of his time at 3B), a CF, hopefully a RH bat that can play 1B and corner OF.
I really do hope we can re-sign Bourn, but it will likely take something like $130M, 7 years. After all the puts and takes, and arb raises, looks like we will have $25M or so to spend…so re-signing Bourn looks unlikely.
I would ike to see Bourn and Ross and Johnson back. And Durbin would be good too, but not necessary.
