would love to see the Braves take this one tonight and then take the series tomorrow. Finishing this road trip at .500 would be huge playing at Nats, at Giants, and at red hot Padres
Run, jason, you doof!
NEVER stop running Can’t blame him much for that one though.
Marteeennn! (we have met DS1)
Hey’s gonna kick himself for not running it out.
August 28th, 201210:11 pm
Been playing well man. Bust it like you been doing
If that was Uggla that stopped running, this blog would be going crazy….
August 28th, 201210:12 pm
Braves LEAD Nice shot by Chipper – thought it was gone for a second there.
Chipper comes thru again
August 28th, 201210:13 pm
Atta boy Hoss! Ouch…that had to hurt.
Chipper mashed that sucker!!
That looked painful. Sorry for laughing, Mr. Padres OF guy.
wish jhey would have ran it out
August 28th, 201210:14 pm
Heyward should be benched immediately!!
Might just be glad he put one in play!!
Actual view from seat .. not too bad. http://img853.imageshack.us/img853/6145/imag1674m.jpg
August 28th, 201210:15 pm
If you haven’t seen it, check out Matt Kemp running into the wall at Coors earlier tonight
Around The Horn
There can be no excuses for not running hard.
That reflects on Fredi’s managing as well.
Freeman does his usual strikeout
what does everyone think of the new ajc.com website?
VJ what row are you?
August 28th, 201210:17 pm
Get durbin warm.
McFann :Ô: :Ô: :ô:
August 28th, 2012
Just read about Molina…yikes. Don’t think I wanna watch that video…
It’s not that bad…. I mean, I made it through without screaming…
Larry came to play tonight!!
August 28th, 201210:18 pm
Yeah not too shabby.
August 28th, 201210:19 pm
I think J Hey thought that ball had been caught, a rare mistake for him.
Everything reflects on Fredi’s managing….
Including the cereal I just ate.
Kat, tell Durbin lowercase phil says hello.
August 28th, 201210:21 pm
No hitter is gone but another good inning Meds
August 28th, 201210:22 pm
Uggly hitting .207….
That IS 20.7 percent hits…..1 for 5.
I can see why Fredi praised him….
No hitter is gone
That’s good. He can concentrate on the complete game shutout. Already has his run to play with.
August 28th, 201210:23 pm
I like ole Durbin….for now, anyway!
August 28th, 201210:24 pm
No, Jason shouldn’t be benched. No, it doesn’t have anything to do with the coaching. Anybody with half a brain knows that Jason hustles all the time. Watch the game.
Mac already wildly blinking….
I hear you Mike.
August 28th, 201210:25 pm
Section 115 row 5 (which is the 2nd row behind railing) #1 & 2
And that TOBF supported him all year. Glad to see him be successful.
And anyone with a smallmouth should be able to understand a bit of sarcasm where jason is concerned……
McCann continues to stink it up
August 28th, 201210:26 pm
Don’t pick the option on Blind/Mac
McCann didn’t show much in that AB, but neither has any LH batter yet. It’s early yet.
August 28th, 201210:27 pm
Bmac is getting hard to watch
Mac’s k avoids the dp….sigh.
August 28th, 201210:28 pm
Wow….just giving away outs. We’ve all seen this before.
God. Are we all idiots. Of course uggla does the usual
Uggla should never play for this team again. The guy is a list cause… It’s not going to get better.
August 28th, 201210:29 pm
Why do that Reed?
Blind Mac and Uggly are a jinx on this team!
August 28th, 201210:30 pm
large chunk of next year’s payroll hitting 7th and 8th.
Stupid mistake by Johnson and another strike out by Uggla leaves the pitcher to lead off the third inning. Bad baseball.
Then again, Reed makes up for it with some fine baserunning, just ahead of the latest Uggly strikeout…..
McCann uggla = outs wherever u put them in the lineup
Looking on the bright side after that debacle of an inning, Medlen bats lead-off next inning
August 28th, 201210:31 pm
they are our version of the “bash brothers.”
MLBN tonight? TBS? ESPN? FOX?
McCann and Uggla the dynamic duo of the Atlanta Braves : (
Thank god we have medlen pitching.
August 28th, 201210:32 pm
It’s entirely possible that by this time next week, uggla will be hitting under .200. $13mil a year to the man with the worst batting average in baseball. Don’t get no better than that. Great job signing him up Wren.
August 28th, 201210:33 pm
Uggly with another strike out… what a surprise
Unglazed and McCann will swing and miss on pick off attempts
McCann and Uggla by day, and Fatman and Bobbin by night.
Hello everyone!!! Not to say too much about last frame; except that it looked beneath MLB ability level–and, most certainly fan expectation(s).
August 28th, 201210:34 pm
Medlen working in his 21st consecutive scoreless inning – correct??
really hope when the Braves play at home this weekend the fans at Turner really get on Uggla…..he deserves it.
Wren couldn’t have foreseen this uggly train wreck….
August 28th, 201210:35 pm
So Reed Johnson singles and Uggla strikes out……………
Who’re you gonna play Loss Busters…..?
God I wish I could see the game in HD
August 28th, 201210:36 pm
Jerry, i just chuckled….bobbin
Medlen has it working tonight.
August 28th, 201210:37 pm
Guess I don’t understand the match-ups. To me they throw lefties, we box righties. C ROSS, LF JOHNSON, SS JANISH, 2B PRADO, 3B JONES.
Dang, cut McCANN some slack and get him out of there to rest that shoulder a bit. They do it for CHIPPER.
Then mix in HEYWARD, FREEMAN, and BOURN.
August 28th, 201210:38 pm
can o’ corn
Sid – how does your geton uggla plan help anything?
Speed never slumps – nice run down catch by Bourn!!!!
Prado to second and Johnson to left every day!
Cmon Freddi, make it happen
Of course if Reed doesn’t get picked our requests hold more merit. But, at least he was on base to et picked
That ball would still be bouncing around out there if McLouth was still our CF.
August 28th, 201210:39 pm
Meds is dealing!
Chip just told me – it’s 22.1 consecutive scoreless innings for Medlen. Impressive.
I wish i could just see the game but mom is calling so off to bed soon….
August 28th, 201210:40 pm
I dont know what to do. We have a catcher who is having vision problems again and a 2B who tries to hit the left foul pole every at bat.
If “IF” were a fifth we would all be drunk… ChattTownBrian
That’s a big ole fat Hanson fan!
August 28th, 201210:41 pm
Uggla just flies his hips open so much. How can he be any good doing that? He still walks a lot which shows he’s seeing the ball. Just weird.
Medlen’s scoreless innings streak now at 22, was already longest by a Braves pitcher this season before tonight’s game
Great, let’s make it a minimum of 50 O.K. No jinx.
Medlen did the tomahawk chop at that one didnt he?
August 28th, 201210:42 pm
Medlen better shut em out…we’re done scoring it appears.
August 28th, 201210:43 pm
Animus – I think Medlen is trying to make it 29 scoreless innings after tonight!
Medlen “only” has the longest scoreless innings streak by a Braves pitcher this year….. yeah, he’s a #3-4…. the comparisons to Maddux are bogus.
Good nite all…..pull us through!
August 28th, 201210:44 pm
CHOP – hope so, got his first CG shutout last time he pitched against the Pads.
Head shot to Bourny – now steal 2 bases – pay the pitcher back
Medlen is a good #2 for us this year, possibly for years to come. He might even become a #1…
Glad Mikey didn’t get hurt. Scary.
Juuuuuuuuuuuuuussssssttttttttt a bit inside… (for all you chip fans out there)
August 28th, 201210:45 pm
August 28th, 201210:46 pm
Pitcher is getting a little loose isnt he…?
