If Bourn threw that to home or cut off man Posey wouldn’t have tagged to score.
Don’t get this move by Bourn. He ruined Huddys shutout

Veer — Bourn made the right play– limited the potential damage.

Kept runners on first and second with a 5-1 lead. Smart safe play.

A couple of extra insurance runs will help in case we do not get a clean inning from Johnny V.

You never have too many runs in baseball — you play to the end and why is baseball the best game of em all.

One reason is that there is no such thing as running up the score.

I like football but no way does football season replace that every day friend like baseball.

@Disgusted: not hater, but see my earlier post. Juan is just a slightly taller and heavier – and poorer fielding – version of Uggla. They have nearly the same stats. Uggs walks more and thus has a higher OBP, and Juan has a higher BA and slightly higher HR rate. Otherwise they are amazingly similar in their production.

Kevin McAlpin ‏@KevinMcAlpin
Tim Hudson’s line: 7 IP, 5 H, 1 R, 1 BB, 3 K, 82 pitches (60 strikes). Jonny Venters takes over in the 8th for the #Braves.

@TOBF — Juan’s defense has been improving and he has made some real good plays as the season has gone.

He is not the same Francisco of early season & he deserves credit for getting better. As long as he keeps it up, why overanalyze the game so long as he is doing the job.

No, he will never be the combo power hitter and OBP guy that Chipper is, but if he plays adequate D and gives good power, I can live with that. And his OPB has gotten better.

I can accept a .310-320 OBP if he give me 25 HR and 90 RBI.

TheOnlyBravesFan

Juan ain’t ever approaching that kind of OBP in a season if he’s starting…. esp. since he struggles against lefties. Walks add to OBP, and Juan doesn’t walk.
