TheOnlyBravesFan-

Well, If Rev can learn to play 3rd and/or the outfield (which I believe they are hoping he can), he could be a valuable PH/utility guy for multiple positions. He may (probably should) spend some more time at AAA to get better at all/any of the positions they want him to play, but he really could be a good bench piece come mid season next year (or to start the season if there are not stronger options)

SNEAKY PETE,

I have nothing to lie about. Maybe you haven’t noticed, but this blog is titled “Medlen belongs in braves rotation rest of season and beyond” And in this blog, Chipper compares Medlen’s poise and pitching IQ to Maddux, Did you read that? Well, in the comments of that same blog, Scoots called Medlen the “pitcher du jour”. Does that sound like he agrees with the premise of the blog, that Medlen deserves to be in the rotation for years to come? Either you’re not paying attention, or you think Scoots knows more than the Braves beat writer and Chipper Jones. I do not.

I haven’t seen Nolie trashing Medlen on this blog, but I’m sure that’s just because he’s not posting today. He’s frequently called other posters “stupid” and “idiot” for predicting that Medlen could perform as a starter exactly as he’s performing, as a top-of-the-Braves-rotation starter. I look forward to being called “stupid” and “idiot” again for reminding him how wrong he was.

Those two posters happened to be wrong about Medlen, and I’m enjoying his success. I take it you must’ve fallen for the Braves company line that he was “more valuable” as a middle reliever, also. Did you parrot that fallacy, like scoots and nolie, and now you’re feeling a little dumb? Condolences.

I have no idea who is “attacking” your buddies with different screen names. But I can assure you I only post under this name. So that’s something else you’re dead wrong about. Keep trying, maybe you’ll guess right about something.

By the way, I always got the impression scoots and nolie are big boys. They can take a little ribbing as well as they dish it out. You don’t have to pretend to be a tough guy in their defense. No one’s buying that act.

Mrs Murph called a service today… The Lice Lady… she’s coming tomorrow.

School starts on Monday and we can’t be dealing with these little buggers. Been a hell of a week at the Murph household…

1. Kids and wife have lice
2. Garage door broke
3. Mrs Murph’s car went into theft protection mode today and had to be towed (I’m pretty sure she hit the wrong button the fob, but I can’t say that to her).
4. I’m on overtime for at least the next month

I remember Andrew well. I was stationed at the Recruiting Battalion in Smyrna at the time and they shipped me an assistant from the battalion in Homestead (which had been destroyed). His home had been badly damaged, but within a few months, he was able to rebuild with the proceeds from his insurance and rent that home out while he had another built in Marietta.

The story he told me about how he and his family clung to each other, the children screaming, in the bathroom while the world swirled around them has always stayed with me. I wouldn’t want to go through that at all.

Boy do I remember ANDREW. I had driven to work that morning from my home in S.W. RICHMOND, VIRGINIA to norrthside ROANOKE [HOLLINS]. I was sitting in the turn lane at the last light before my destination in my bad-azz 1987 MAZDA RX-7 Turbo. A blast of wind from the storm literally lifted the car up and the rear lurched to the left from the lift created by the louvers on the back window. As the car settled down, I watched the louver-panels twirling merrily through the air across the intersection.

Arriving at the old 1915 four-story brick four-square home converted to meeting rooms and restaurant, I and my thirty-five students delighted in feeling the house quake and shiver as 100-mph blasts rocked the structure periodically all through the morning until around 11:00 a.m. when the storm finally moved on. Numerous students had to spend the night in a motel or inn close by as they could not commute back home until the next day.

Bear in mind, this is 250+ miles inland from the VIRGINIA coast, in the S.W. BLUE RIDGE section of the state. Oh yes, I remember ANDREW.
